Quite dreadful evening I'm afraid. Excellent staff but food service extremely slow. Capped off when management allowed a "boisterous" group of around 18 to 20 drinkers to park up on adjacent tables shoved together with chairs dragged from all over. So now we have 20+ rowdy drinkers close by a similar number of diners waiting for food. Of course, eventually bread was thrown about by the drinkers, hitting some of our group and other diners. Candidly the staff were undermanned and unable to restore order. We left our meal half eaten in protest and left. Very surprised the management allowed the diners to be put upon in such a way but the mad covid regs don't help. Had this large group been allowed to stand at the opposite side of the bar, none of it would have happened and social distancing, admittedly guidance, seemed to have gone for a ball of chalk. Of course there seemed nowhere else to put such a party as table service only meant they had to be pitched in next to the diners. So we left after bring invited to "sort it out later" as once food starts getting thrown about it's rarely long before something more solid follows. It's a shame as this is usually a quality country gastropub style establishment with good food and helpful staff. On this occasion the management was completely out of its depth, but whether our complaints to the manager on departure find their way back to the brewery company, who knows? I suppose I could have followed through with Liberation Group but really what would be the point? Staff are under pressure to serve drinkers but having allowed the situation to develop and continue fuelling it with shots and so on, they were then completely out of their depth and overwhelmed by the noise and agression they had introduced in the first place. Maybe try when sensible regs are back in place in a month or two but couldn't recommend just now. What little food I eventually tasted was ok but we had no appetite as the evening was spoilt by management's decision to impose an unacceptable situation on the diners and then fail to control it. One star as the serving staff were very friendly to start and did their best to help when things kicked off, a couple of the waitresses seemed pretty upset to be...

Incredibly rude bar staff, would never go back. We arrived at around 4:30pm and planned on having a few soft drinks because the kitchen didn't open until later. We ordered drinks from an incredibly rude bar-woman. On the website, there was Guinness Zero, but when we asked, she said they don't serve that. We asked for Thatchers Zero, which is also on their website, and she gave us Rekorderlig Zero instead and acted as if inconvenienced.

We asked if there were any tables available for food later in the evening. She took our drinks orders and then told us 3 times we could have the drinks we ordered but had to leave within 30 minutes because 'all tables are booked’ without letting us get a word in. She had omitted telling us this until we had already paid for our drinks and was very abrupt in telling us. When someone in my party asked if there were no seats available at all, she did not say we could stay drinking at the bar, just that we had to leave within half an hour.

There were plenty of unreserved tables in the main bar and restaurant area, but we were made to feel very unwelcome so we may have had a lucky escape! We visited another restaurant in the same chain instead...

The staff, food and atmosphere are amazing! We booked a table earlier in the day (phoned first and as we were accidentally driving past I went inside during lunchtime, to check whether we could have a meal with 7 people in a short space of time) we had to catch the ferry to St Malo and wanted a nice meal to say goodbye to Jersey. The waitress that helped me gave us two menus to take home and said the chef would serve us first. And so we already chose what to eat, sat down on time and then enjoyed a lovely meal! Great food, super speedy and friendly service. Our vegetarians loved the vegetarian spinach and chickpea burgers, so nice! The whole family had a good time, and we made it to the harbour in plenty of time. In hindsight (ferry was late and we were literally the last to be able to board the ferry, though one of the first cars to go through customs) we could even have had a dessert😥, they looked so good on paper. We will be back!!! Thank...

The restaurant truly impresses with its outstanding cuisine. The dishes are not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making the dining experience a delight for the senses. What sets this place apart is the remarkable service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and goes the extra mile to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with a warm smile, and their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate your preferences make you feel truly valued as a customer. It's a top-notch establishment that I highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Arrived to a buzzing atmosphere and the staff immediately got us seated and warned us of a large group just coming in. I felt the staff cared for every customer and were sharing their happiness. I was advised of the specials and we got our order in promptly whilst enjoying some refreshing Liberation beer. The food was incredible. We really really enjoyed it. The Hundred was being shown on the tele, but not aloud to take over the atmosphere, simply to give a distraction if wanted. Will definitely advise others to go here.

We were booked in for 19.30 but we'd hit a snag with the bus times and arrived earlier, around 17.45. They were more than accommodating. The food, drink and service was excellent. Had it not been for the issues with bus times, we'd have quite happily stayed all night. Highly recommended.
