Minnesota Restaurant — Restaurant in Kisii Central ward

So I walked into this place on a Wednesday morning around 1030 hrs. I was bored and so I said why not?

This place is perfect, for anything.

The design is centered around a green sort of concept. The roof has PE lining to shield you from heat and the central counter is suspended. Excellent work from architect, engineer and the interior designer+the one who did the plants. The place is well aerated and lit. The aluminum windows do the place justice. Washrooms are clean and well maintained. Nice views of Kisii Town from the area. Food and drinks are very affordable. For instance, ugali mbuzi half with Kachumbari is 800, a beer is 300. Singleton 12 years is 7500. Very fair. Very nice waiters and waitresses. A gentleman called Mustafa served me at the counter, very kind. Will definitely go back there.

This place is the best to be in Kisii. It might be crowded on weekends which I guess is what partying people like but if you want it good, go during off peak and you'll have a drink while listening to Tevin Campbell and Aretha Franklin.

We had a meet up here with my friends on 29th December 2023. I loved the general ambience and the cool music played. Food was top notch, and when we complained of a meal that was not done well, the waiters replaced it quickly and gave us an extra for apology. Although the joint was full by the time we settled down, the waiters served us to their level best and that dedication showed a true value of putting customers first.

I would only recommend that they do away with those disposable tumblers that they give clients to use to drink water and alcoholic beverages. They need to improve on the presentation of beverages as that will entice more clientele to frequent the joint.

Lastly, securing client packages was good. This is because we forgot our package on the top Deck and remembered two hours later. When we called one of the security guys whom we knew, he told us the package was well secured and he sent it to our location...

Been there twice,a nice place awesome view points,,I'll give the chef a four star bcz the food is good especially the dry fry and the salad is okay,,the waitresses I'll give them a one,all the times I've been there the tables are dirty,no one is ready to attend to you yet they ain't busy just lazing around, then someone comes throws the menu on the table no greeting nothing and leaves,I'm a hotelier and I believe in quality hospitality in a restaurant or hotel value for money not really considered here ,the waitresses should be on toes always ,its not a responsibility of a client to remind them that the tables need to be cleaned or looking around for someone to attend to you yet they standing there talking such an awesome place requires...
