Asmara Restaurant- Home of Ethiopian dishes
Just as your enter this beautiful restaurant, you are welcomed with sweet aromas of spices and coffee beans in the air. The setup of the hotel is small and intimate with dim lights and huge screens , suitable for football fanatics. There is an outside setup as well with plants separating the tables.
The restaurant has a bar with all alcohol selections. The food is mainly Ethiopian which includes injera with different sauces/accompaniments. For a newbie, I would suggest trying the mixed dish which samples various sauces. The sauces are all non-veg.
The prices are all pocket friends, below Ksh 1,000 for the main dishes which serves 2 at most. The drinks are affordable too. The service is also good and timely. There is secure parking outside the premises as well

Read moreWe visited the place on a Saturday evening. Being a weekend live football was playing on the screens. The dj was on point with some refreshing soul music that made you want to dance. It's very spacious with multiple sitting options ranging from couple seats all the way to family friendly options. Open bar, there's a kids play area and neatly tucked away in a separate room is a pool table area. Toilets were very clean. The wait staff were attentive n very helpful. Food variety was on point. Drinks were fairly affordable. If your looking for a budget friendly date spot this is definitely worth visiting. The location just next to the main road makes it soo accessible. Overall we spent under 2500k for an Ethiopian dish of injera and several...

The music might be a bit loud in the evening so if you are looking to have a quiet meal this might not be the place for you. However, there is a small lounge section indoors that remains quiet even when the music is loud. There is an outdoor sitting area as well in case you do not want to sit indoors. There are multiple screens so you can catch up on football matches as you eat and drink. Sunday is reggae night so if you love this type of music, you would really enjoy yourself. The parking area is pretty small so in case the place is full, you might need to wait till a...
