Kariokor Market. A word I've heard zero times in my life. Lol. However, today, I had the golden opportunity of visiting this amazing place that's full of art. They have raw beads that you can buy at affordable, local rates. Just like any business, they will profile you. This is to mean, you will pay based on how you look. The prices aren't too crazy though.

I got there via Uber since I'd never been and I didn't know where it was. It's a safe market that's quiet and well organized. No one is in your face trying to sell you items. No one grabs you claiming to have the best prices in the market. You are welcomed warmly by the vendors. Most of the vendors are women and this is just amazing. I believe the Government can do better in supporting this amazing place. It could do with some renovations, including the drainage system.

As I walked around, the prices went lower. Go early, walk around and you're sure to find some amazing gems.

I got some amazing, affordable sisal mats. I plan to visit this marketplace again. I went there for less than half an hour today.

I loved my experience. The main road is a bit chaotic though so, watch yourself as you're crossing the road.

Shout out to the amazing vendors in there. Shout out to all the amazing women who are working hard to earn a...

Definitely a market vibe of bargaining and various options of stores to buy clothes, bags, accessories, paintings or souvenirs to take home as a reminder of Kenya. Gotta watch your step though and the ground isnt stable and is bumpy. Also small pathways to meander through to get to various stores. The vendors are very friendly and willing to assist to get you what you looking, can sometimes be pushy as want to also make a sale but not dangerous, and direct you to where to find what you looking for if they do not have. Just gotta be careful cause you might find the same item priced higher at a different store. Just off the busy road so not easy to find transport or a place to park but can call uber.when it gets dark very few stalls have lighting and close so gotta get there while its bright and early.can also watch them make the items of shoes...
