Java House on Kiambu Road is a cozy, well-managed café that offers a consistent and satisfying dining experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting — perfect for casual meetups, solo coffee breaks, or remote work. The interior is clean and tastefully decorated, with both indoor and outdoor seating options available.
The menu has something for everyone, ranging from their famous coffee and breakfast dishes to hearty meals, pastries, and refreshing juices. The quality of food is consistently good, with fresh ingredients and well-portioned servings. I particularly recommend their mocha, chicken wrap, and signature Java fries.
Customer service is friendly and attentive. The staff greet you warmly and are usually quick to take orders and serve. Even when it's busy, the service remains organized and professional. The free Wi-Fi and availability of charging ports also make it a convenient stop for anyone working on the go.
Parking is easily accessible and secure, which adds to the convenience. Java Kiambu Road maintains the brand’s well-known standards while also offering a peaceful location away from the city rush.
Overall, it’s a dependable spot with good vibes, great coffee, and consistent service. Definitely worth visiting if you're around...
Read moreI used to enjoy Java. However, my experience changes every time I go there or to a different branch.
What I love: They have a loyalty app, you should ask the staff about it. You earn points within minutes of settling your bill.
They make decent coffee but the Javas out of town make better coffees than their Nairobi counterparts so it's difficult not to compare, i.e. Buffalo Mall Naivasha make the best vanilla latte, followed closely by Cedar Mall Nanyuki.
The food tastes good when you eat in house and when it's delivered hot.
They consistently have offers.
What I dislike: Smaller portion sizes and a slight hike in price, this can be attributed to the economic times.
We once had a server that coerced my husband into filling out a survey on our experience in her presence, and she wouldn't leave until it was done. I would recommend paying in cash or with card to avoid getting the survey when you pay with mpesa. I recommend retraining the staff to improve their customer care because we've had awesome servers before, but we only remember the one...
Read moreI don’t like giving bad reviews, but today I had an unfortunate experience at this Java.
This is a very well located Java on Kiambu Road, opposite Ridgeways mall. Atmosphere is great, good sitting space. 30 minutes free parking. Kitchen and food excellent.
Unfortunately I was the victim of bad luck today, they might be understaffed at the moment, one of the new workers took my order and it was never passed to the kitchen. After 30 minutes of being there I was asked by another worker if I was attended, and she took the order again. I was late for a meeting and this situation brought unnecessary stress to the service personnel, the kitchen and myself.
I really hope the understaffing is fixed promptly and proper training is done when incorporating new personnel specially during busy hours.
I still thank the rest of the personnel, they did their best to...
