I have been a long time customer at Big Fish right from their initial branch that was a small space with very little sitting capacity when a very lovely Lydia Omullo used to work there (this lady was kind enough to direct me years back to the new location opp St Luke just when they had moved yet she was no longer working at Big Fish)
Recently went to the now renovated/new space as they demolished the old one and had a great time.
The service was fantastic. Our order was handled by a very pleasant lady (did not catch her name as she had no name tag) that even offered some recommendation. She articulated herself extremely well. Order was delivered to our table by Chris who was super pleasant and even told us if we need anything he will be right there and not worry at all.
The mixologist also did his thing and got us fantastic cocktails and even my wine was chilled just right. The mixologist here never disappoints btw and is really good at recommendations.
The coconut fish fillet was fresh and flavorful and the French fries were not soggy. The food here is always a hit and it is admirable how the consistency has been the same for all those years.
There is a lady supervisor though that I found a bit well, not very pleasant for lack of a better word based on how she spoke to the waitresses. Perhaps it was a one time thing but it felt like I had visited an Indian establishment as they are the ones who talk to their staff like that as if they are not talking to fellow adults.
Overall I would highly recommend Big Fish having been to all their branches over many years. Osumo Brad needs to know he has fantastic employees and good job on maintaining the food quality. His bro (me thinks or relative I don’t remember the relation) kept an eye on the tables in a polite way, signaling the waiters/waitresses politely and even checked on us.
If you have not tried this place you are missing out on the best fish in town! And this is coming from someone who does not get pleased by average nonsense. Go...
Read moreIts been a while since Id visited this joint, Was glaf to see they’d expanded but it being a Sunday the place was packed to the brim. I was in a party of 5 of which one was a wheelchair user. I was truly humbled how the staff went out of their way to get us a space that was wheelchair accessible and making sure we were comfortable From the gentleman in shorts and loafers who helped us disembark, to the lovely hostess, Branice our waitress and the ‘soulja’ who helped us at the parking as we left, much love. Food was awesome, coconut fish anyday, my dry fry tho was a tad bland bt still satisfying. The beers were a perfect chill and the cocktails fresh. In the end the bill was less than 10k for the victuals and I daresay this joint might just be the best value for money in the city. Keep it up! PS: Consider adding one or two ramps to amplify wheelchair access especially at the garden...
Read moreGood service, friendly staff , overall good food presentation. The place is located near the road, which allows for ease of access. There might be a wait since the place is a bit popular and sometimes there aren't enough seats. The same applies for parking - one might have to park next to the road. The parking issue is further strained by the fact that the place hosts other busy businesses. The best time would be to go during non- meal hours. Hopefully, you can get parking and seating space with ease and...
