All I know is that I have a favorite joint in Mombasa. I enjoyed of every bit of this restaurant from the start to the very end and on.
First, their food is on point. Yummy in my tummy galore.
Second, the environment is serene. I think I am a low-key aquarist😆. Good food slaps even better when it's taken with ambiance on the side.
Third, I need drum rolls for this 😆😅. It was my sister's birthday, and the team understood the assignment. As part of the team that was not expecting such a surprise, I was wowed! Nilipenda! The hospitality in this restaurant is out of this world, the team is (good people).
They were so full of energy and something about the song they were singing just took the experience a notch higher. It was different, it was better, it was phenomenal. You know those experiences that stick and keep playing in your mind? Well let's just say they'll be the reason I'll be smiling alone for a while. This was just so special.
Btw they host birthdays, parties, and related events. Whatever you do with this information is up to you 😅
I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting or in Mombasa. A sis is happy! Definitely coming back here severally!!!!!!

Our friends had a fish dish which they said was good. But nothing extra ordinary. The pizza though was the worst pizza we have ever had in a restaurant in Mombasa. Doughy bottom, tasteless toppings. One was seafood and the other hawaian. It is of course a seafood orientated restaurant so i guess the pizza is not a priority. But definitely get your pizza elsewhere. Other reviews praise the seafood dishes more but this was our experience. At the end of our meal we were visited by a couple of scurrying....."insects" which i promptly told the...
Read moreThis was my first time at Grand Oceanic Seafood Restaurant. I was immediately awed by the ambience the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is serene with the gentle hum of ceiling fans and distracted chatter from two TV screens.
The couches are very comfy too. However, the tables are so expansive, therefore, not ideal for dates. Additionally, the boat-shaped tables are uncomfortable for dining purposes because the feet and knees don't fit under the table. So one is forced to sit sideways.
Be that as it may, I tried their Chicken Pousin, prawns and T-Bone steak (on a secondary visit) and enjoyed all dishes immensely.
I highly recommend this spot for family dinners or friend...
