I want to review the restaurant in categories in case if they want to improvise : (i visited this weekend)
Ambience (4 stars) The inside of the restaurant is of a bus station theme and is very good for families as it has family room options. service quality (1 star) The service is very poor and disaster...as they only go behind their regular customers whom are visiting the restaurant for years. They don't respond properly and i saw an Asian woman waiting for food for nearly 25 mins. Also, when they serve, they don't complete serving a person...(For example, I ordered veg curry meals.....they served rice and left it to become cold. After calling the server several times...after 15 mins, he brought sambar...) Price for food : (3 star) I haven't tried all the menus. But, I ordered meals which is a good traditional South Indian lunch. They didnot serve Rasam, pickle, etc and had only one side dish. P.S. :All these i faced on a proper festival holiday.....who knows how they treat on normal working days.......i am not visiting this hotel again..even if i...
Read moreI recently visited Thakkara Restaurant in Fahaheel and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall dining experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambience that made me feel right at home.
The menu had a great selection of traditional South Indian dishes and I was delighted with the delicious and authentic flavors of the food. I especially loved the Kerala-style seafood dishes, which were cooked to perfection and packed with a delightful blend of spices and flavors.
The service was top-notch and the staff was attentive, courteous and always ready to assist. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for money.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Thakkara Restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic South Indian dining experience. The food, service, and ambience all surpassed my expectations and I can't wait to...
Read moreThakkara used to be the best Kerala Restaurant before a couple of years. Have been a regular visitor since the inception of the restaurant; was a fan of their authentic and tasty meals. Ober the years, I have recommended it to over a dozen people and taken many of my colleagues and friends for lunch at this place. Recently, some of my friends have been telling that Thakkara is not as good as it used to be. However, today, I personally tasted the bad experience. Ordered single meals over the phone. The person who took the order didn't even ask if I needed veg meals or non veg. When the food arrived, rice was half cooked, all the sides were of inferior quality. To sum it up, over priced, tasteless, carelessly prepared meals. The only thing worthy in the parcel was the tissue box provided! Will not recommend...
