There’s something special about stumbling upon a restaurant with no expectations, only to be pleasantly surprised. That’s exactly how I felt when I first visited Haiso, an Asian fusion spot blending Japanese and Thai flavors. Tucked away from the usual hustle and bustle, it remains a hidden gem—one that consistently surprises me with its diverse menu and generous portions.
Despite its impressive variety of dishes, the restaurant remains relatively quiet, an almost undiscovered treasure waiting to be appreciated. This time, I opted for the Chicken Red Curry with plain rice, a dish that delivered bold, comforting flavors. The Pepper Beef with grilled rice was equally satisfying, offering a rich and savory bite.
For appetizers, I sampled the Shrimp, Sesame Chicken, and Mozzarella Corn Dog. While the shrimp didn’t stand out for me, the Mozzarella Corn Dog was the unexpected favorite—crispy, cheesy, and indulgent in the best way possible.
