Trapani (Murouj) — Restaurant in Mubarak Al-Kabeer

Was there for lunch today with my colleagues and we had a lovely time. The ambience inside is stunning and really neat. Outdoor seating is lovely too with the beautiful Murouj surrounding greenery, lake, fountain, music, etc. The fungi pizza was freshly baked and really tasty. The salads (kale, quinoa) tasted good but I didn’t like their burrata (stringy cheese) too much. Their mushroom and tomato soups were good, served with fresh pepper and thick cream. The steak, salmoni, wagyu beef, short ribs and shrimp gambero rosso were divine !!! Small portions but perfect for sharing 😊👍🏻...

Marouj branch. Horrible service!

This was a lunchtime meal with my children. Only 2 tables had customers and several wait staff were standing around. We sat for over 30 minutes, only served water. The waiter completely ignored my daughter trying to order. Failed to provide her a glass to drink or even a place setting. Finally, we opted to leave because of the bad service.

Recieving the check for the water took an additional 10 minutes for some strange reason. After paying the waiter asked if we wanted to order.

Needless to say, he got an earful for the service and...

We celebrated our new year at Trapani Murouj. The ambience of the restaurant is pleasant made special with the location near the fountain. This was one the most delicious Italian food we had recently. However, we experienced a little mishap with our food. There was a shrimp shell in our chicken dish. This could have been a major issue for someone who does not eat seafood or is allergic to shrimps. So our only complaint / suggestion is for the management to be careful during their food...
