Bebabel — Restaurant in Rai

We had a wonderful dining experience at this beautifully designed restaurant. The ambiance is truly aesthetic thoughtfully decorated with a warm and inviting vibe that makes you want to linger.

The highlight of our visit, without a doubt, was the Um Ali. It was simply exceptional perfectly warm, rich, and creamy with just the right balance of sweetness. The texture was spot on, with crispy layers blending into the velvety custard-like base. Every bite felt indulgent and comforting. The ambience, hygiene & staff were top notch. The space is huge and there is enough space between two tables for privacy and social distancing given the current Covid situation.

The food was just okay. The portion sizes are a bit smaller than what we see in Kuwait usually. The hummus pesto was delicious. But the fresh breads that they offered weren’t soft and turned hard within a minute of reaching our table. We actually preferred the packed ones. The drinks were nice & refreshing. The food was overall just average.

I believe there are better options in kuwait for this cuisine so I might not be very keen to come back here...

Good food but bad service! That's why the one star! Everywhere now you can find good food but good service Restaurants are few ... This review is based on 2 different visits with the same service level. No welcome bread was served in the two times, no tissues on table and had to request for it, no bread was served with the food (which is essential with Arabic and Lebanese food) I had to request for it twice!
