I ordered lunch through Deliveroo for an important office gathering on 31st December, but my experience was both upsetting and concerning. When the food arrived, I was shocked to find a discarded cigarette end inside the packaging. This was not only disgusting but completely unacceptable from a hygiene and safety standpoint, especially for a meal meant to be shared with colleagues in a professional setting. It completely ruined the occasion and left me feeling deeply embarrassed.

I reached out to Deliveroo customer care immediately, hoping for a resolution given the severity of the issue. Unfortunately, I was informed that no refund or credit would be provided, which made me feel like my concerns about hygiene and safety were being brushed aside. While they assured me that they would investigate the matter, the lack of accountability was disheartening.

Hygiene and safety should always be a top priority, especially when it comes to food. I hope Deliveroo takes this issue seriously and works to improve its quality control to ensure that nothing like this happens again in the future.
