"Vēl vairāk saules" SIA, restorāns "Vairāk Saules" — Restaurant in Riga

I've been ordering and eating in at this place for multiple years, and I'm generally tolerant of small issues that can happen to anyone..

However, I would advise anyone to NOT order any takeout from here; orders are constantly messed up. They often lack some of the meal ingredients or sauces. Chopsticks/napkins are now a paid item in the menu (???) and you can just miss it and end up getting a sushi order without chopsticks to eat them. When the meal allows it (e.g. soups/pastas), the portion sizes are 30% smaller than when you dine in, yet the prices on delivery menu are 15% higher then when eating in, that way you are paying more for less food on delivery which is beyond any sane comprehension and is just disgusting practise!! Avoid ordering/eating in from the Vairak Saules Damme branch as well. In addition to the issues mentioned, the meal quality there is barely edible.

But the final straw that led me to stop ordering from them after multiple years was an absolutely disastrous recent order. The sushi were only about half the size shown in the pictures, with almost none salmon inside. The ground beef steak with potatoes contained a stone or gravel about the size of a corn kernel, which almost cracked my tooth. If they had served me this meal in the restaurant, I would have sent it straight back to the kitchen and manager would be called in.

However, after expressing my concerns to their support online, the reply I received was that these meals are all prepared according to their (apparently new) calculations and they are ok with everything else.

So, if anyone has a desire to chew on gravel and experience sushi with only rice and no filling for $$, then this place is the perfect choice to order from.

I understand that mistakes can happen, but taking into account all the issues above - my calculations say this...

Great pizzas as always. BUT The place used to be much much better before. Vegetarian ravioli with spinach and cheese filling and mozarella souce was a bit boring and tasteless. Don't take chicken burger! It is far from one could expect in a place like this. Just a chicken meat with some mayonnaise and a slice of tomato plus fries without any real taste. I'd say the place should stick to what they do the best - pizzas. Service (old lady) was not pollite at all. Overall the place is not value for money anymore as it used to be. For a bistro the it is a way to expensive and for the restaurant it just...

Nice place, nice food. Huge menu of European and Asian kitchen. We frequently visiting this place and every time our ordered meal was good. Sometimes restaurant is very busy and you need to wait the line, but it is not a problem. There is available takeaway and delivery options. If you are owner of a loyalty card you get better price on whole menu. Staff is pretty friendly. I recommend...
