Vairāk Saules — Restaurant in Riga

If you're looking for a place to eat, unless you only care about sitting in a nice looking room, look absolutely anywhere else.

The prices are outrageously bad, especially with how miniscule (which not disclosed in menus, mind you) portions are and how low quality they are.

They are edible, for sure. And can be enjoyed if are starving or care not for your money in the slightest.

However, when there are so many better alternatives - you should give this place a hard pass.

In this instance what I ordered was a medium four cheese pizza. A classic that should be pretty hard to mess up. For about 9€ I got the medium which in any other place is typically 30cm, but here they don't have numbers to indicate size. Just price points. I got what could be at best considered a children's sized pizza that tasted like the base was taken out of a freezer.

If you want to go for a great pizza at that point, it would be wiser to choose places like L'Acquerello, Street Pizza or Picas Meistars.

Hell, if you don't want to go that far, there's a LuLu Pizza down one block from this place that has better pizza than this at half the price.

Whatever you do, don't bother...

My recent visit to Vairak Saule started off fine but turned into a bad experience. The service was very unprofessional. I asked for a small espresso with milk, but the waiter said it was not possible because their system couldn’t handle that request. He was not polite and seemed very uninterested in helping me.

As the visit went on, the service only got worse. The waiter was unfriendly and made no effort to improve the situation. This really spoiled my time at the restaurant.

Because of this, I won’t be going back to Vairak Saule and I can’t recommend it to others. The staff needs to learn how to treat customers properly. If you want good service, it’s better to go...

The Food was amazing, I had the brioche sandwich with asparagus from the seasonal menu and my friends had the fresh salad and pasta with chicken.
