Since 1918 three Nmeir generations have succeeded preserving the good taste legacy, inherited from the Great grandfather. Nmeir is a landmark in the Berdawni Restaurants. They have proved that restaurantion isn't only preparing good food, but also a way to handle their customers with great care. Their cuisine is Lebanese by excellence, based on Mezzeh a unique Zahliote way to show warm hospitality. It's a festivity of multiple small dishes consisted of a wide variety of salads and slowly upgrading to delicious hot appetizers as Kebbeh, marinated chicken wings, and stuffed pastry. The list is long. Main dish is carefully prepared and again choices are numerous, but all reflect the Nmeir traditions. Dessert is a festivity for all your senses and an absolutely unique way to make your passage unforgettable. Nmeir is the label of good taste, care and generosity in the Zahle Berdawni region. They have been royally honored lately during Zahle tasting festival. It's not a coincidence! A private parking was added recently. Read moreI spent a memorable evening honoring the arrival of my dear sister and her family from the U.S. Meal was superb from appetizers to main course. It reflected so nicely the legacy that three generations have contributed to build: The Nmeir Family. They reflect the true spirit of generosity but mostly the quality of the meal itself. A splendid atmosphere, blended wit the smooth rolling of the Berdawni River in the background, has added a unique sensation to the memorable dinner. An outstanding dessert was offered at the end to dig deep into your memory an unforgettable evening. It's a blessing to have such a unique place still running and booming despite all the financial issues that all parts of Lebanon are suffering from, Zahleh is no exception. I appreciate that the Nmeir family is still leading the legacy of Hospitality and Generosity in the Wadi area, at a large codt though, but quality has its price, and the owners aren't sparring anything possible to keep up excellency. Meanwhile, prices remain the same compared to the prices we used to pay five years ago if that value was transferred into US Dollar. But it's always wise to check for it before...

We were 2 Europeans (ajeneb) and just wanted to have a beer and a little snack. The waiter came first with a 2l bottle of water... I had to decline twice. He left the closed bottle on the the table.
We ordered 2 beers, carrots, festo and 6 cheese sambousek. They came with 1/4 Kg carrots, festo, the sambousek and the beers. The sambousek were good and the rest... well.. normal.
When I asked the bill they came with fruits. Again! I declined and insisted for the bill.
The waiter finally came back with an Arabic badly handwritten invoice of 24$! They charged us 12$ for 6 sambousek, 7$ for 2 beers and 5$ for carrots... Yes, expensive carrots... I paid my bill... and send them to h... for the tip.
Hey Nmeir, stop your ridiculous old fashion and dishonest behaviour!
And for those who want to have some good food and honest service, just go next door to Mhanna (unfortunately it was closed that day). Yes Mhanna is expensive, but you get the best without all this ridiculous hassle.
And you, Abu Nemr, go eat cucumbers...
