Edelweiss — Restaurant in Triesenberg

My wife got pork in cream sauce with noodles, I got breaded pork (aka schnitzel). Both pork dishes were fine. But, three things about the meal were outstanding: amuse bouche! Huh? we sure were not expecting that, but a spectacular gorgonzola ravioli was served to each table on a spoon so that it was easy to eat. Very very good and a completely unexpected surprise. Fries with the Schnitzel were superb and the noodles with the cream sauce were outstanding.

Thankfully they did have an English menu, so they must get a few tourists, but it seemed MUCH more neighborhood oriented. We were disappointed that smoking was allowed. They accommodated our request to move a few feet further away, but I'm stunned that there is any place on earth that still allows smoking to disturb other customers. I may be stunned a lot this trip (mostly in Switzerland, but we decided to spend 2 days in...

I don't know if Edelweiss staff was happy to have customers Sunday evening, but it was first open restaurant on my way. I'd say it was a perfect shot: very friendly staff very tasty food a lot of food on a plate reasonable prices (here i need to clarify - I was expecting higher proces than in Switzerland as... Never mind. Just remember - proces are really fair!) quick delivery (ok, this might sound weird. Our perfect staff didn't need half a day to bring our order, it took 10 minutes max!) If I will be near Vaduz again, definitely have to come back, as price/quality ratio is...

This is not a restaurant, but a cafe/bar. The portions are large. The food is okay, but after reading about the dishes that other visitors ordered, we also decided to order local dishes. Unfortunately, they are only available 6 weeks a year, and since we were not in the ski season, we were unlucky. I highly DO NOT recommend going here with children. Everyone smokes here, and a lot. I stood by the open window several times to get some oxygen. It's terrible. I didn't expect this in Europe. The waitress was very polite...
