Ipanema Pizzeria — Restaurant in Kaunas

The place itself is nice and in a great location.

The food however was not great (note that I only ate pizza here and nothing else so I can't comment on other dishes).

I ordered the standard Pizza Margherita which costs 9 eur for a 24 cm (give ir take) pizza. Well, it looked and tasted nothing like the Marherita: the bread was chewy and tasted like yeast, the sauce was watery and was dripping everywhere, Mozzarella was also watery and looked more like some patches of cream and definitely not cheese. Kaip ir su dauguma vietų, kurios gauna daug komplimentų - duodu šiek tiek laiko nusėsti ir apsilankau po laiko, kad įvertinčiau standartą ir vidutinį lygį. Ipanema turi daug faktorių sėkmei. Buvome dar smagaus oro dieną, tad tikrai patiko atmosfera, kurioje matėme ir savaitgalinių draugų susitikimų ir šeimų. Užsisakėme tris skirtingas picas, kurios buvo išpildytos, sočios, labai smagu gauti picą, kuri neskęsta ir nėra visiškai išdžiovinta. Nesu dar iki galo įtikinta tešlos receptūra, norėtųsi sodresnio skonio, bet picos lietuviams ir šiaip sudėtingas reikalas - visi turi sau mėgstamą. Galbūt galėjo būt mažiau riešutų ant formaggio picos - labai blaško nuo kitų skonių. Labai džiaugiausi, jog negavom padažų. Aptarnavimas superinis, komplimentai už gerą atsiskaitymo sistemą. Kainos - kokybės santykis vidutinis.

As with many places that receive many compliments, I take some time to settle in and revisit later to assess the standard and average level. Ipanema has many options for success. We were there on a pleasant weather day, so we really enjoyed the atmosphere, where we saw both weekend gatherings of friends and family. We ordered three different pizzas, which were delicious and satisfying. It's nice to get a pizza that's not too soggy or completely dried out. I'm not entirely convinced by the dough recipe; I would prefer a richer flavor, but pizza is a complex matter for Lithuanians, everyone has their favorite. Perhaps there could have been fewer nuts on the Formaggio pizza; it deviated significantly from other flavors. I was very pleased that we didn't receive any sauces. The service is excellent, compliments for the efficient payment system. The price-quality...

I give my review 2 stars for the beer "problem". I ordered a 0,4 beer and it came in a wine glass (you can see the photo). I asked the waitress if the glass was 0,4 and she confirmed "Yes". Next i ordered a 0,330 bottled beer filling the same empty glass: as i thought the glass was full like the 0,4 !!! The restaurant manager was not present, i hope he reads this review: charging a beer of 0,4 and pouring less can have an economic advantage on "large numbers ", so this way of doing is done with all the customers of the restaurant?!?...
