Senis ir Jūra — Restaurant in Neringa

I have ordered fish soup and tuna tartar. I am gluten allergic and I have asked if I can have any replacement of the bread, for example French fries, I was explained that the policy of this place is that French fries are in kids menu and adults are not allowed to order food from kids menu. The I asked for an alternative which I can be offered but no one was able to solve my request. They were very sticked in not serving me French fries and did not give their options. It’s sad to see how Neringa’s restaurants are trying to “show off” with different policies and being completely not flexible and overpriced. Fish soup for 10 euros was spilled and no one managed to clean the plate before bringing it to the table. Tuna Tar tar was very good. Girl who was serving...

Went for breakfast. Ordered benedicts and coffee. The coffee was good. The benedicts were below average, I wouldn't call this dish benedicts. The egg was prepared not as a poached egg, definitely overcooked (refer to photos). The expected hollandaise sause was watery and sour. I have no idea why it was lightly sour. The pickles were great, nice marinade. It's not that the dish was bad, it's just not benedicts and the egg was overcooked. On the bright side the terrace is good and the atmosphere is calming. The service is friendly and timely. This restaurant has specialty dishes, which should be ordered, while benedicts is not one of them. Viena žvaigždutė už žuvienę, kuri buvo skani. Gal ne už 10eur., bet tebūnie. Pradėsiu nuo aštuonkojo, kuris yra tiesiog paklotas ant raugintų troškintų kopūstų. Tikrai visai negurmaniška, netgi vos vos bjauru. Po to sulaukėme menkės. Jei restoranas vadina save “žuvies restoranu” tai buvo visiškas nesusipratimas. Neįkvepianti ir panašu, kad šaldyta?? Arba tiesiog labai prastai pagaminta? Anties krūtinėlė nesusikramtė, odelė nebuvo traški ir su padažu reikėtų pasistengti, tikrai labai vidutiniški pagardai. Vaiko makaronai buvo ok, bet juk nėra labai sunku išvirti makaronus su pomidorų padažu. Mums paprašius sąskaitos su pilnomis lėkštėmis niekas nepasiteiravo ar skaniai pavalgėme.
