On quick glance of Pizza Verde you wouldn’t think much. The exterior is gloomy brown, but the chance of eating a wood-fired pizza was too much of a temptation.
Plonking down, I settled on a Quattro Formaggi (four-cheese) pizza and my partner opted for the salami pizza. I’m not a massive pizza lover, but when I do order one, I like them to be thin, crispy and absolutely flavoursome. Our pizzas didn’t disappoint. Crispy with oozing cheeses flowing across the crust and hidden basil leaves lurking in the golden – it was the perfect lunch filler. Pizza salami was a beauty with thin slices of italian salami, cherry tomatoes, Parma and cheese, bursting with flavour with each bite. Read moreI was really surprised to see Pizza Verde in Utena. In Vilnius it is the best pizza place at the moment and also here in Utena it'sreal good pizza. The crust, the tomatoes, the cheese all are perfectly balanced to make a perfect pizza napoletana.
Situated near the city center, they have lots of space inside and as i visited in the summer they also have seats outside.
I ordered three pizzas to takeway and they made them super fast in less than 10 minutes. Super good service!
