FORTAS Akropolis — Restaurant in Vilnius

Fortas is a great restaurant both for breakfast and lunch. It's not fancy, but leaves a pleasant feel from the visits. The prices are also friendly. Visited the restaurant 40+ times in the past years. For lunch the potato pancakes with salmon, tartar, chilli soup, beef strogannof, duck and lasagna are great. The guilty pleasure basilic pizza is nice (not an italian fancy pizza, but the one you get back to eat as guilty pleasure). The classical breakfasts are also good. My fiance loves the salads. Long story short most will find a dish to enjoy, a very universal choice to have a lunch with family. Finally, Fortas offers draft Peroni beer, which is great and not following the major pattern in Vilnius to offer Birra Moretti. The only critique I would have is the coffee. I had such a great first experience at Fortas in Acropolis that I came back again — and it didn’t disappoint. The onion soup was hands down the best I’ve ever tried (and I’ve tried quite a few!) and the octopus was excellent as well. Service was pleasant, the atmosphere cozy, and overall it made for a really enjoyable meal....
