We reserved a table here for 3 people, when we came, we got a place to sit, but somebody else lost their reservation as the name on the table was not ours. Right of the bat, we asked if we could sit outside as there were a lot of empty tables and we couldn't as there is only 1 waiter working outside and he is not capable of taking on any more tables. He was polite but it doesn't change the fact the the restaurant is very understaffed. Further, I am 1.90 m and I just could not sit at the tables inside, as they have some kind of a weird board where your knees should be and you have lean forward and stay like that for the feet to fit. Menu was quite limited, done poorly (just a red colored paper with printed on food in black bold letters with a standard Word font, almost no formatting whatsoever and it was all teared up) plus only Lithuanian available. We were sitting for 15 minutes and a waiter did not come to ask what we would like to order. Prices are similar to more high-end places in Vilnius so with the overall experience we decided not to order here as it was obvious the food quality-price ratio would not be any better. Can't comment on the food however, as we left without ordering. It is a shame, as the restaurant is located at a beautiful historical place in nature. Really, no idea how it has 4...
Read moreWe arrived on mothers day on Sunday. When we walked inside no one even said hello. The inside is small and there are not many tables in general, and when we walked in there was a bigger group and one man sitting separately, and all tables are quite near one another, so we were not feeling the inside, and decided to sit in the terrace. It was quite cold, so we asked the waitress if they served outside, and she confirmed that they do. After 5 minutes, she brought us the menus. We picked our food and we waited 15-20 minutes for someone to come and take our order. So we left. I don't think its normal to wait 20 minutes to place an order, and as I mentioned, there were little customers at that time. How long we would have waited for the food itself? Also, on the other table in the terrace, with no people, there was still food and plates not picked up for the whole time we were there, around 30 minutes.
The terrace is...
Read moreThe worst experience in a restaurant I had after living in Vilnius for 2 years. Surreal! We waited half an hour for a burger and the waiter tells us after that time that the restaurant wasn't serving burgers anymore. We ordered then something else (saslikai), waited half hour more and the answer was the same : "We run out of it". So, what's left? Kiev cutlets. Another half hour and guess what : they run out of it!
So, we ended up eating only saltirbarsciai that we had requested first. It was the biggest portion I ever seen. Each portion could feed an entire family. It could be a good idea to give the client the chance to choose between small and big portions.
Lastly, but not the least, after apparently finding that everything in the restaurant had finished (it was 2pm, BTW), we turn around the building to find one of the chefs barbecuing saslikai on the back. So... Weirdly suspicious that they had nothing...
