We visited this establishment twice within the 2 weeks we were in Ghana. Our service the first time was great, the waiter was very attentive always around though it was very busy. I had the fufu with light soup which was today to me, the soup wasn't what I was use but was not bad, just wasn't for me however I tried the fried rice which was amazing and the fried plantains.
Our 2nd time there was a bit if a hustle, we sat right by the bar, it wasn't as busy however we waited over 1 hour for our meals, I had to approach my waitress about 4 times regarding it. About an hour of waiting, I went to find her and she told me that they were out of fried rice and it will take about 15 mins for another batch to be ready however not once in that 1 hour did she ever inform us of this. It then took about another 30 mins to get our meal. She never offered us beverages, we kept going to the bar for our own until the guy at the bar asked someone why we weren't being catered to and brought us beverages himself on a tray. I also asked for extra goat me, never saw the waitress until she showed up after business was closed and told me they were out of goat me. She didn't seem that interested, she was also chatting with other employees and we were waiting for our change, the funny thing is I understand twi so I heard all she said and it was nothing important relating to work.
If I hadn't had the best experience the first time I likely won't revisit however I did and know it's a great establishment, we just got a waitress who didn't seem to care much about the job. I would still recommend checking this place out. Great food and good vibes. I will revisit when I return back to Ghana. Hopefully not the...
ย ย ย Read moreThe Living Room was literally one of the best if not the best restaurant experience I had in Accra! The energy was so high, I loved the live band and the ambience. The atmosphere was very welcoming and warm.
In the process of collecting content for my YouTube channel, I went to record a happy old man I saw dancing with the band and he asked me to dance with him and it was such a beautiful time! Even though I didnโt know what the band was singing, the music made me feel so happy! I loved the general groove of the place, even the staff were dancing lol
The food was good too, the only downside was the waitress forgot to place part of my order so we had to wait a while longer but the food was good when I came, I had red red and plantain with red fish. I loved the processed palm wine but I was hoping it will be fresh palm wine served in a calabash! That would have taken it up a major notch.
I will absolutely visit the living room again when next Iโm in Accra. Kindly visit my YouTube channel, luxury living with Hadiza for more African travel...
