La Rusticana — Restaurant in Hesperange

La Rusticana is an authentic Italian restaurant owning a traditional fire oven specialised on pizza and some house made noodles.

It is a charming restaurant with friendly personnel. Some might even be singing at some point, they are fun, vivid, cheering. Most - if not all - are Italian or direct descendants of Italians. It really has that Italian, open, rustic, traditional ambience.

Take away and delivery in selected quarters are possible. Most pizzas can be ordered as gluten free version for an extra 2.20€. All pizzas can be ordered as "vraie pizza Napoletana" (real Neapolitan pizza) which comes with a thicker, fluffier dough for an extra 1.80€. I personally seem to prefer the usual dough over the Neapolitan version, except for toppings which are served uncooked. The thicker, fluffier, more chewy dough is too soft sandwich-like to me which turns into a positive if the toppings are cold and thus also more sandwich-like.
