I was on business for the week in Capellen (just outside Luxembourg city) and the local office booked this hotel for myself and a colleague. To begin with this is not a typical business hotel so don't go with that expectation. We did arrive early on the first day - my colleague from the airport and myself by car - and they were surprised to see us but they made us welcome. The rooms are quirky - mine was a reasonable size and had a large airy bathroom. Breakfast is normally served from 0730 (they have a fridge for early departees) but they actually got the staff in to do breakfast for us at 0700. We tried the restaurant on two occasions and it was really excellent (you get a small discount for being a resident). Free parking is plentiful around the hotel on the street and it feels small, and safe. We didnt get the impression that too much goes on in Kopstal, but there was another restaurant (Edelwyss) around the corner which was equally as excellent) and a bar across th street which had a good selection of beer. This place is in the countryside and you get to see lots of green and listen to the birds singing The bells in the nearby church do ring but we were up early anyway so it didn't matter much. you can get a bus to Luxemboug but access to a car is preferable (WARNING: my colleague was charged a whopping 120 euros by the taxi driver to get from the airport to the hotel on a sunday - even considering the sunday supplement this was really excessive - negociate the price before you get in!!! - the staff at the hotel were horrified at the price There is tea/coffee in the rooms but no milk and the hotel closes on a Tuesday which means you go in/out via the back door This is a family un hotel in a small Lux village and as that it is very warm, friendly and welcoming. they will do their best to accommodate your requirements and I...

Read moreWe often come to this classic restaurant as we enjoy the traditional ambience, the excellent "cuisine française", the friendly service and the welcoming owner/"patronne"!||On Sunday, the restaurant was fully booked, most guests enjoyed the well served, delicious and tasty game dishes (ragoût de biche, filet mignon de biche aux deux sauces, ...). Excellents plats de gibier/tolle Wildgerichte.||Large choice of wines, the Lux. Pinot noir, recommended by Madame was a good match with the deer mignon.||The "tarte fine aux pommes with vanilla icecream" as dessert is to recommend.||From the complimentary "mise en bouche" to the dessert everything is house made 👏 and not reheated industrial food like in many restaurants in Luxembourg.||Value for money.||During weekdays the restaurant offers a very interesting lunch deal (menu du jour).||Table reservations are a good idea.||See you soon, à...
