I am deeply disappointed to report an exceptionally unpleasant experience at a previously favored establishment where I have patronized on three prior occasions for a coffee break. This recent visit was marred by an incident involving the service rendered by a particular staff member, whom I shall refer to as the tall blond French guy with beard , at the direction of the outdoor’s captain. Regrettably, his conduct exhibited clear signs of racial bias and insensitivity.
Upon interaction, the aforementioned staff member initially inquired about my well-being in a manner that appeared overtly discriminatory, expressing surprise upon realizing that I am not of European descent. This was followed by a condescending query regarding my ability to navigate the menu, insinuating a lack of familiarity with the offerings due to my presumed background. Such behavior is entirely unacceptable and does not align with the standards of professionalism and inclusivity that one expects in a reputable establishment.
Furthermore, despite enduring this treatment in the presence of my spouse, I refrained from causing a disturbance. However, the situation deteriorated further when our order was eventually delivered after an unacceptable delay of fifty minutes, only to be entirely incorrect. The staff member in question demonstrated a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction by acknowledging the error yet offering no meaningful resolution, instead suggesting that we depart if dissatisfied.
In light of this distressing encounter, I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention. Such discriminatory behavior not only tarnishes the reputation of your establishment but also creates an unwelcoming environment for patrons from diverse backgrounds. I urge you to address this issue promptly and implement measures to ensure that all customers are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.
I trust that appropriate action will be taken to address this matter and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Thank you for your attention to this important concern.
I really feel sorry for the place to have a person like that as a captain order and as a human who still live in the middle ages era . God helps you...
Read moreRude and disrespectful and not a place for cigar enjoyers. We came in, at the beginning it was nice and they were kind, they found us a place outside even though it was really full, which I am thankful for. We say beforehand that we smoke and they said that they were alright with it, so we sit down and we start preparing our cigars. The whole time where we were preparing and before lighting them, nobody came up to us and told us that we were not allowed to smoke cigars, the waiters even passed by us and looked at us and didn’t say anything. Our coffees were brought, the waiter saw our cigars and again still said nothing. We started smoking and after literally a couple of minutes of staying there and smoking were we then told that we were not allowed to smoke, but in a rude manner. The worker, who was rude and who I believe was a person of charge, spoke to us as if we knew we were not allowed to smoke and smoked provocatively just to annoy him. We were then told in a disrespectful manner to put out our cigars and with that we left the place immediately. It really would’ve been no problem if they told us from the beginning that smoking cigars was not allowed, we would’ve been understanding, but saying it in such a manner left us kind of bitter. It’s a shame, because I came here before twice or more for drinks and it was nice and I liked it, but this kind of ruined it for me. I think I won’t be coming back next time. Thank you also in advance for...
Read moreWent with a group of six people on a Tuesday at 7 PM (on reservation)
The service was really bad … 30 minutes after ordering the starters, 2 people were served. We were waiting that everybody was served before starting. After 20 minutes of waiting, we kindly asked if it was gonna arrive and we learned that actually one starter that we ordered was not available anymore and that they were gonna start the others. When you look at the menu, there around 8 starters and 5/6 main courses. Price is also a bit above average. And we are speaking about Libanese, so I don’t understand how the logistics is handle. Also, as showed on the first picture, the « Mezze » that is there to be shared was not served on the plates they have as they were all used … (a bit weird on a Tuesday with the restaurant half full), which made it difficult to share.
As a reminder, it was on a Tuesday, at 7 PM (half of the restaurant was occupied), we reserved and we only took 4 distincts starters and 4 distincts main course.
There was a group of 2 people at the table next to us, and it looked like they were also waiting quite some time to get their dishes.
For starter I took the Fallafels (which were good) and as main course the "The Polpo" which was extremely good. The food was very tasty for me. In regards to the group, they were happy about the food (except for the « Pilons Chiche-Taouk » which was...
