Brasserie Op der Haart — Restaurant in Weiswampach

Well impressed! & u might know that's not easy! We arrived late afternoon. The service was impeccable. We spoke a mixture of German, French and English The local beer Fass is good. The red wine was perfect with the lamb rumpsteak. 3 small but thick steaks cooked to an excellent medium rare. The breaded pork chop a cordon bleu was as good. Both came with 2 side dishes and 2.95 for the extra one was very, very reasonable. The only let down was the sauces it was hard to tell the difference - pepper and mushroom - both were a gluggy, medium brown - not quite enough but not worth asking for more. Salad, potatos and mixed veggies were delicious particularly the selection of vegetables in which was a puree I couldn't identify but scooped the last bit out with my finger it was that good. My pasta was slightly overcooked (have had worse) and a very decent portion for a side dish. Each server knew their job and executed it to the highest standard The space is congenial and we were allowed to choose our own table. I don't know if we'll be back along this route but this is definitely a recommendation. It's worth stopping here It's not cheap but it is excellent value for money. Le barman se prend sans doute pour David COPPERFIELD. Vous commandez une bière spéciale 33cl et il revient avec un verre rond contenant.... 25cc...que vous payerez pour une 33 bien entendu. Vous lui faites remarquer, aucune réaction. Après réclamation auprès de quelquun d'autre, pour SON erreur, j'ai reçu non pas un autre verre, mais un petit complément dans mon verre de 25 cc ( car entretemps il était vide car je l'avais versé sans y avoir bu dans un verre à bière ordinaire de 25 cc, pour corroborer mes dires). Le reste était très bien, la cuisine mérite une bonne note. L'établissement est donc à conseiller.

De barman houdt zich waarschijnlijk voor David COPPERFIELD. Je bestelt een speciaalbier van 33cl en hij komt terug met een rond glas van...25cc...die betaal je natuurlijk voor een 33. Je wijst hem erop, geen reactie. Na bij iemand anders te hebben geklaagd, voor ZIJN fout, kreeg ik geen nieuw glas, maar een kleine aanvulling in mijn 25 cc glas (omdat het ondertussen leeg was omdat ik het had ingeschonken zonder er van gedronken te hebben in een gewoon 25 cc bierglas , om mijn beweringen te staven).
