Updated 17 June 2024: Today I spotted two men in black attire got a table just by pointing towards the place that they wanted to sit without having to put their names in the waiting list. Some Sandakan 'elites' also get special treatment having allowed to cut que.

It is undeniable that the food and ambiance at DOZO Sandakan are excellent and worth the price. However, in the four times my family and I have dined there, I have not received 5 cents in change each time. For instance, if the meal costs RM49.95, and I give RM50, the cashier informs me they don't have 5 cents. I understand it's a small amount, but if this happens with 25 transactions per hour, DOZO could accumulate RM1.25. Over 13 operating hours, it adds up to RM16.25 daily, translating to RM487.50 monthly or RM5850 yearly. There is always a queue even during Puasa hours. Just approach a Staff and register for a table. Don't stand there and wait and later complaint.

The food is very reasonable and for the price they are charging, you cannot expect huge portions. There are so many varieties, just try more dishes.

The tea and coffee selections are adequate but some drinks are bigger than others.

With the popularity at the moment, this is not a place to hangout with friends and chill. Just eat and go, give others a chance to get a table.

Regarding service, I have ordered claypot fish noodle. Lucky I check the bill, I side don't have my order. I ask the staff why not inside the bill even I wrote down inside the paper. Staff said becouse no more fish, Alamak, nvr infrm to customer ka? Q for so long get sit then out of stock also did not tell customer🙄 so I told him change to dumpling if no fish.
