If you are a true seafood lover, then D’Seafood Paradise in Penang is absolutely a must-visit! From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt lively and welcoming, with that authentic local charm that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. I decided to try a variety of dishes to really test the quality of their kitchen, and I was honestly blown away. The fried fish was perfectly cooked – crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, with just the right amount of seasoning that allowed the freshness of the fish to shine. The calamari was another highlight, fried to golden perfection with a light crunch, not chewy at all, which is very rare to find. Their shrimps were fresh, succulent, and cooked with a flavor that keeps you wanting more. I also had the mussels, which were rich, tender, and full of that fresh ocean taste. Every single dish I tried was spot on – zero mistakes, nothing overcooked or under seasoned. What impressed me most was the consistency. Usually, when you order many different seafood dishes, one or two might be average, but here everything was excellent across the board. The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff seemed genuinely eager to make sure we were satisfied. Overall, D’Seafood Paradise lives up to its name – it really is a paradise for seafood lovers. Great food, great atmosphere, and a wonderful memory from Penang. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the island – this place is not to be missed!

Food was nice, fish was well marinated. But thats about it. HOWEVER They got our orders wrong, not one or twice but thrice till we need to go to the counter to make things straight, coz it involved billing and what not. Said that the mistake was because staffs changed shift during tht time. A little suggestion, do not change shift during peak hours, its kinda common sense. Staff was not helpful. We had to bring back our leftovers ourselves, which means we had to tapau ourselves. They provide a table with plastics and rubber bands, but no place to put the dirty dishes. Which make it unsanitary. We are not demanding to be served like a king but please, you are selling service. Average food and this kinda of service not gonna do well.

Many table spots to choose from under the roof to without roof and also hut. Place is clean. Order ur food and drinks at the seafood booth then pay at counter and give table number. Freshly caught seafood. The prawn was considerably big, most of the fish options were priced per piece instead of grams. Drinks cup size were large at cheap price. 4 types of seafood + 1 vege at the cost of less than rm300 for 3 ppl portion is considered cheap, at least for me. I have to reduce 1 star because the ikan bakar sambal was not to my taste whereby instead of using the wet sambal glaze, it's as if the cook just use sambal powder. Other than that, other dishes were satisfying. Would bring my family here.

Mixed review regarding this place.

We had dined in here on 3 separate occasions.

The 1st one, we ordered siakap goreng 3 rasa, tomyam campur and sotong goreng telur masin. I would say, only the tomyam was good. Sotong goreng telur masin was sad and cooked by somewhat an amateur chef. The fish was borderline fresh and tasteless. But since this visit was during MCO, we decided to try again next time when things got better.

The 2nd occasion was after the MCO. We had a dinner with our family. The table cleaning service was slow though, had to stand up beside a dirty table for 30mins before someone shows up to clean the table. Ordered sotong namprit, siakap 3 rasa again and some vege. All the cooking met our expectations, and even our parents gave a thumbs up. Sp we thought the place was improving.

So we decided to try again a few days back. And truth be told, this would be the last and final time we will dine in here. The food was TERRIBLE. As we went on a saturday, the crowd was huge. And seems like there was no QC on the food at all. Service was terribly slow, waited 45mins for our food. And when the food arrived, Our siakap goreng cili was absolutely tasteless. Seems like they forgot the salt and chili for this dish. Our sotong goreng tepung was bad that the flour and the squid were seperated. How sad is that. Tomyam was so so. And our kangkung belacan was somewhat bad. And to top it all off, our udang butter, tasted nothing like butter at all. Its like we ate udang goreng without anything at all. So dissapointing. We only finished the food because we were famished.

And we got charged RM160 for those dishes. Which we could get much better dishes for that price.

And despite all the crowd, and expensive food they charge, they couldnt be bothered to install a wifi for the customers to wait for their food. FYI, this place has no reception, regardless of which carrier you use. So atleast maybe install a wifi though.

So for me, that would be my last time dining there. And the parking area tooo. Crowded, unevem grounds. If you drive a lowered car,...
