If you are looking for a hearty and satisfying meal, you might want to check out Restaurant Thai Xiang, a hidden gem in the industrial park of Taman Angkasa Nuri, Durian Tunggal that specializes in Thai-style pork leg dishes. Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, you will be greeted by the mouthwatering aroma and sight of the huge pot of pork leg stew that is simmered for hours in a rich and flavorful broth. The broth is the secret ingredient that makes every dish here delicious and unique.
You can choose to have your pork leg with rice or noodles, but I highly recommend the Heng Hua mee suah, a type of thicker wheat noodles that soak up the broth and melt in your mouth. The pork leg is tender and succulent, and you can also add some yong tofu, which are stuffed tofu and vegetables that are cooked in the same broth. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
The restaurant has recently moved to a new location, which is more spacious and has ample parking space. The owner and his Thai wife are very friendly and attentive, and they will make you feel welcome and comfortable. They also have some new items on the menu, such as imported fruit juices and kway tiao noodles soup, which I have not tried yet but look promising.
