Grand Bayview Seafood Restaurant was an experience that combined exquisite tastes with a delightful atmosphere. The first thing that caught my eye was the impressive giant lobster statue at the front entrance, setting a thematic tone for what was to come. Upon entering, I was greeted by various tanks of live seafood prominently displayed at the front. This not only served as an interesting visual spectacle but also assured me of the freshness of the seafood. It felt like the catch was brought directly from the sea to the table, emphasizing the restaurant's commitment to serving fresh and high-quality seafood.The ambiance of the restaurant was remarkable. The tasteful decor and comfortable seating arrangement contributed to an inviting and pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the excellent customer service. The staff were warm and attentive, adding a personal touch to the meal.The highlight of the culinary journey was undoubtedly the chili crab. The crab was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced, making each bite a delightful experience. The sauce was rich and savory, complementing the freshness of the crab flawlessly. Another standout dish was the salted egg fried rice. It was not just good but memorable, with a unique flavor that lingered pleasantly. The texture and taste were spot-on, making it a dish I would crave long after leaving the restaurant. The French beans with white carrot was a surprising delight. The combination had a very interesting taste profile, offering a mix of textures and flavors that was both innovative and tasty. This is a must-visit for seafood lovers. The quality of the food, the pleasant ambiance, and the warm customer service make it a place worth revisiting. I highly recommend trying their chili crab, and I am already looking forward to my next visit for more culinary delights.

Even though the place is not fully air conditioned, i still find it pretty cooling despite the hot weather that day. There were not too many people there for lunch so it was pretty quiet In terms of food quality, i would say the stir fry lettuce with garlic was alright (could have more flavour to it though). For the seafood dishes, we ordered two black pepper crabs, one steamed fish, one lala and one steamed garlic prawns. The seafood dishes were fresh so i guess that was the good part about it. What was disappointing to me was the black pepper crabs; the sauce was really underwhelming in my opinion. There just wasnt enough of the peppery kick which you will usually have in black pepper dishes. Felt like they tried to replace the black pepper by adding a significant amount of onion which cant replicate the black pepper taste. Maybe if you are someone who do not like too strong of a pepper taste in your dish, then this dish is definitely for you. As for the steam fish, lala and garlic prawns, the sauces in each dishes were alright but the freshness of the ingredients definitely elevates the dining experience. Overall, i would say this place is pretty decent and i would come back here again if i am craving for some seafood.

29.04.23 Grand Bayview Seafood Restaurant Had been good with this restoran since last April. Had been singing praise about it for long. It failed us completely this time round! Wanted to try something from what our usual orders. Hence ordered Fish Maw Soup with Mushroom ( actually wanted to order 鱼膘羹）but told them 鱼膘汤- Very ordinary, ordinarily not tasty. I feel seaweed soup elsewhere is better. Roast Chicken - Dry, tough. Their white chicken (菜园鸡) is/was better. Kang Kong - Tried the very ordinary veg rather than our favourite Cai Poh French Beans- Very very disappointed! Not only the frying was lousy they used very old Kang Kong with the withered stem! Wok Fried Sliced Venison - Had been ordering this dish for few times. We liked it. But this time round, totally failed us! Meat was tough! Grouper - This is the saving grace to d this dinner! Not a wow tho.. Conclusion - If a ordinary dish like the kangkong or the soup didn’t turn out well, we will assume that the rest won’t be good too! Wonder if they had new chefs for this night? On top of the dinner, we felt that the lady who served us ( she’s likely the captain/senior) has a bad attitude. She tends to serve bigger table or the table which orders atas food like the lobster etc with better attitude! Hmm, we will wait a while a very long while before we go back here for our favourite dishes again. To be fair, below my review last month. It was very good then. With few of the different dishes tho. 25.03.23 Rainy day.. So no mood to travel further for dinner. So it would be, have to be Grand Bayview Seafood Restaurant As usual, food are all good, got consistency. Not last week good, this week bad! Black pepper crab - Good but not pepperish enuf for me. But it’s 6 against 1, so it’s my problem la. It’s good for them all. Grouper Teochew style - Fish was very fresh, tasted so good in Teochew style with enough steamed gravy.. U can just eat the rice with the gravy.. So naturally sweet. Venison- Tenderly good! Prawns with fruits salad- Our must order every time. A 5***** food! French beans with CaiPoh - This one also a 5***** must order! We call it a Sweet & Sour Soup, they call it Tom Yum Seafood Soup. Whatever! It's good.. But seriously my problem again, 够酸不够辣！

Visited 15/09/2024 Rainy Sunday Afternoon. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience Totally disappointed with the quality of food! ⭐ ⭐ Prices are not pocket friendly ⭐ ⭐ Service wise okay ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ We were in Johor today for groceries shopping at Terbrau Aeon. Den decided to give this seafood restaurant a try. Located along danga bay area and saw good reviews on Google. Never trust any reviews until you tried it yourself and so here we are. We took an 30 minutes drive to reached this destination. Carpark almost full by the time we arrived just past 7pm. There is a huge display of seafood right at the entrance which really wow any patrons that walk thru the door. Not a very huge space but it's a proper and clean restaurant. It's a halal restaurant and food varieties are limited. They mainly served seafood. We had 6 dishes which are as follow Salted egg crab 🦀 ⭐⭐ Steam Fish ( Soon Hock ) ⭐ Fried Rice ⭐⭐⭐ Vegetables⭐⭐⭐ Garlic crispy skin chicken (half)⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cereal Prawns ⭐⭐⭐ Fish cost RM200 but it's really bad. Meat was hard and alot of bones given it's a 1 kilo fish. Crab was normal. Fried rice was above average Vegetable was above average Cereal prawn was above average Total bill near to RM700 for 3 adult and 3 children Probably the only time I visit this place. A veritable place to visit when you are craving for some seafood and at the same time, don't wish to break your bank. Situated beside the Danga Bay, this seafood restaurant houses both indoor and outdoor seating, what with the cool evening weather and the alfresco dining experience, dining was done under the awnings of the night sky. Service in this place has always been commendable, waiters were quick and attentive to usher you to the table of your choice, and depending on your primary language, the relevant waiter will be assigned to your table. The staff were friendly and very helpful in recommending dishes as well as portion size. Ordering was completed within 10mins, and shortly after, the complimentary hot Chinese tea was served to every diner at the table. We ordered a total of 6 dishes for 3 pax, and it was a meal that pushed the right buttons, to be accurate, it pushed the buttons on our pants. The cereal prawn was of a generous portion, albiet a bit too thick on the batter, resulting in chewy instead of crunchy mouth feel. Other than that, the other dishes were delicious, and trooped into my belly without a hitch. Definitely a recommend for those looking for a seafood restaurant with a seaside view

Was introduced by a local JB friend about this area and it was the best. Loved how there is a cool sea breeze and near a park. People cycling in their rented bikes really gave me East Coast Park vibes from Singapore. And it really feels hygienic with really fresh live sea food I can see from the tanks. A big fan in the middle of the outdoor dining area made the area cool and ventilated. However that also meant our food went cold really quick. Tea and wet tissue are chargeable. It's nice that the staffs are very on their feet to refill your tea. Food wise is amazing. Ordered Fried Squid, Asparagus with Scallops, Mushroom with brocoli and Cereal Prawn. Most of the seafood is paid by weight with market prices. And every dish had character of their own, it tasted different and not one veggie dish tasted similar. Really good value for seafood! Overall bill came up to be 179RM and it was worth it for us. I didn't really like that the waitress asked me if I wanted to give a tip as I was making payment. Not sure if this is a common practice in seafood restaurants in JB. But it was okay to decline if you don't want to tip.
