One of the key issues was the lack of available seating and prolonged waiting times, which I found particularly frustrating given the busy holiday atmosphere. After waiting for approximately 15 minutes to place our order, we experienced further delays in receiving our food and beverages.
While I understand that busy periods can lead to delays, it was disheartening to see other patrons who arrived after us receiving their orders ahead of ours. Despite the apparent availability of tables and the relative lack of activity among your staff, our order seemed to be overlooked entirely.
After finally being seated, it took an additional amount of time for one of your staff members to take our order. We ordered several sets of toast bread and eggs, along with three cups of coffee. While I anticipated some delay due to the busy period, the wait for our coffee extended to around 10 minutes, which was reasonable given the circumstances.
However, what transpired next was unacceptable. Despite patiently waiting for another 30 minutes, we observed that other customers who arrived later than us were served their food and drinks promptly. Meanwhile, we were left waiting idly, with few tables available and your staff seemingly unoccupied.
It became apparent that our order had been forgotten entirely, as we watched others receive their meals while we remained empty-handed.
In the end, we left without receiving the toast and eggs we had ordered, only paying for the three cups of coffee, which totaled RM 9.60. (Which is quite costly)This oversight was not only disappointing but also left us feeling undervalued as customers.
So my approach is don’t come if you’re no regular customer don’t come...

Half boiled eggs go well with kaya butter toasts of the texture of savoury and creamness from the egg yolk and hard and sweet from the toast really another combination like heaven and earth. Simple ingredients yet taste of back to our childhood. Maybe that why many old folks come here with their family and friends to hangout and chit chat about latest news or good old days.

Read moreIn my opinion, this is the quintessential kopitiam, offering all the local favorites such as nasi lemak, mee hoon, half-boiled eggs, Kaya bread steamed or toasted, and obviously the various Malaysian coffee, tea and Milo configurations (personal favorite is Kopi C). The special bonus of this kopitiam is that you can get roti delivered to your table from the Malay hawker stall next door. Everything is high quality and well priced. For a small town to have so many kopitiams, you really can't go wrong in Jementah. Maybe you should try some others first, otherwise you won't go anywhere else after visiting Kedai Kopi...
