This review is for both the cafe and the treehouse stay.
Cafe
The aglio olio pasta and chicken with toast were good. Drinks were good too albeit pricey. We were there for lunch on a Sunday and there were crowd of families and friends. If you can afford going on a weekday, I am sure you will enjoy the peace sipping coffee while looking out at the lush greenery. Kudos to Rain who is managing the cafe.
Treehouse Stay
There are two types of treehouses. The one with glass that was shown in the e-brochure was the modern treehouse. It is very near the lobby and doesn't require much climb, but nearer to the street too. It wasn't specified, but we found out that there was a minimum spending in order to stay in the modern treehouse. Hence, we stayed in the other treehouse. It was quite a climb from the lobby, it is impossible to bring a wheeled luggage. Backpack is the only way. Inside the treehouse, there is a plastic box for guests to put their stuff so that the monkeys won't take it away, mattress, blanket, pillow, an electrical fan and mosquito net. No safe, no lock. It is back to basics. Our double storey treehouse has a bathroom on the ground floor. But the non enclosed bathroom in the common area was a nicer experience as it was more airy. There is no hot water for shower in all bathrooms. The room rate include dinner and breakfast. The food is not cafe standard, but it is decent. We had rice with cauliflower for dinner, and beehoon for breakfast. There were many mosquitos during dinner time. There were also coffee tea and milo at the lobby area, which guests can help themselves to. Three of us didn't have deep sleep as there were ants. The staff told us that if we have told them, they could give us snake powder to sprinkle around the mattress (would be nice if we knew this option earlier). We like the back to basics experience, listening to the symphony of nature at night, but we value deep sleep more. Perhaps we could get used to it if we stayed for a few more nights? Thank you to Rain and Ling who brought us to a short hike at the compound, we saw the first generation of treehouses made of bamboo and also experienced a...

Read moreIt was a very worst experience, during 19th November 2023, the cafe closing time is until 4.30pm, but we as a customer reached at 3.30pm, even last order time hasn't reached but the worker approached us and said there is no food anymore. I was stunned and really disappointed and frustrated, I purposely went this far-off place and there is no food supply??
Moreover, the worker told us only beverages available, and minimum spend per pax 1 drink/dessert. Walao eh, food even unavailable still require minimum spending per pax 1 drink/dessert??? What kind of cafe? The surprising part was, after I ordered beverages and before I left the cafe, when I was making the payment, I saw the waitress carrying the Spaghetti food to the customer who entered same time with us !! This is really ridiculous and unforgivable, how come upfront told us no food available but at the end there is Spaghetti ready to serve to the customers at 4.10pm??
Is a very terrible and unmeaningful experiences with this Rainforest tree cafe, wasted my petrol and money to visit this dishonest cafe. I swear no next time and won't be introducing anyone to visit this cafe anymore.
4.30pm关店,结果我们3.30pm到,和我们说没有食物了?结果4.10pm结账时,一名服务员端着意大利面给其他同时到的customer,...
