Rosemary Cafe — Restaurant in Johor

I read the reviews before going. I immediately understood the comments saying that the waitress is not friendly.

Almost got myself a bit irritated, but I gave her a second look before I ask her what's taking so long for her to come and get my order. She looks exhausted. She's coming in and out, serving, cleaning tables, packing food. She had no emotions going on and about.

It was already 10pm, which is understandably late.

I straight up ordered as per recommended in the reviews (in Google) and made payments right at the counter without any delay. She offered some milk candies to my kids and smiled, making some connections.

We ordered Nasi Goreng Kampung Daging Petai which I think is their main dish. It was legit good and I think the rest of their nasi goreng line up would be great too.

Their western food, ie Fish & Chips and Braided Chicken (with nasi goreng) is the typical malay-style one, so don't compare is with the british style or the atas ones 😌 if this is your style, you may like it.

the mushroom soup is not the instant powdered one. its made from scratch (so it seems) and taste quite decent 👌🏻

Had a chat with the hardworking waitress, which i think she 'could' be the owner. I could be wrong. She recommended the Mee Bandung which is their best seller that has already sold out for the day.

A Hidden gem in desaru. We were actually recommended a different restaurant but it was closed. To our luck, we stumbled upon this restaurant. Very near to westin desaru, about 10 minutes drive. Food was excellent and price is also affordable. The only thing was that the restaurant was full, but didn't take us too long to get a table. Was here for their mee bandung and I agree that they do justice to its taste. Perhaps Ive had many more mee bandung elsewhere (which relatively tastier) and found theirs averagely decent. Overall it is an okay experience dining in here. We also had their Nasi Goreng Kg and it is very good. We took away 3 more of the nasi goreng kg for sahur. Recommended mee bandung in Bandar Penawar...
