Been going here since I'm a student, where i first discovered "mee tarik" , now already married and it's still amazing. Went to many other mee tarik places over the years, this still my favourite. Only now i thought of writing review.
The beef noodle broth is amazing. Beefy, umami, with a nice flavor of radish. That what sets it apart from other mee tarik places (including those famous ones)
But the star of the dish is the the noodle. The noodle texture is just perfect. Nice chew, not too thick, it's the highlight of the dish. Tho I'll admit, the noodle was even better before, during my past visits few years ago.
The dumpling also nice & i love the toothpick lamb. It's heavily seasoned with lots of spice & cumin, so might not be for everyone but i really enjoyed it.
The claypot chicken is nice, tender chicken, slightly spicy, with lots of vege.
I also ordered lamb noodle soup, seems like a new menu. It has different broth than the broth, less spice, more clear with lighter flavor. But overtime, after the marrow of the lamb dissolve & homogenised with the broth, it becomes very "lamb"-ey. It's a dish that becomes better over time. The clear broth becomes murky white, full of lamb fat. So, so good.
Great service, good food. This is one of the best, if not THE best mee tarik. Absolutely...
Read moreI’m a first year student Recently, I ate here (in 8th October 2025) I’m not very familiar with the system in this restaurant. BTW, I ordered 3 bowls of mee tarik and a set of dumpling.
So, I asked the worker (short, pearl-shaped woman, wearing spectacles) who is in charge at the counter during that day. Unfortunately, she got mad to the point the whole restaurant hear her voice. I asked her nicely, about how many receipts supposedly I got and which counter should I drop off the receipts. She told me I got 2 short receipts meanwhile I only got one short receipt to be dropped off at mee tarik’s counter. I told her that, and she insisted and she accuse me for dropped out the other one receipt somewhere (while raising her voice). I think it would be easier if she explained to me nicely.. and not raising her voice and not to be mad. So far, I’m very disappointed.. I hope the employer take a serious action toward that one worker.. she already caused me embarrassment during that day while it’s not my fault, she can just replied to me nicely tho..
Oh just fyi, I asked my friend because the next day she also went to this restaurant, she ordered mee tarik and dumpling. She told me she also got only one short receipt (apart of the total...
Read moreWhile the cuisine at this establishment has consistently impressed me in the past, I must confess to feeling somewhat disenchanted by my most recent visit. Despite ordering the dumplings and mee tarik, I was compelled to wait an hour for my food to arrive, prompting me to inquire with the cook as to its status. While I acknowledge that the restaurant was busy, I was perplexed to find that other patrons who had ordered after me were being served before my dishes arrived. I was particularly frustrated by the lack of movement on my mee tarik ticket, as well as the fact that the numbers of other orders being served seemed to bear no relation to their order of placement. When I requested a refund, the restaurant staff insisted that my order be expedited to avoid disruption to the ticketing system. Though I initially declined their offer to have my order as a takeaway, I eventually relented due to exhaustion. In addition, I noticed that ticket numbers were being manipulated by customers and possibly overlooked by the cooks. While the food remains noteworthy, I strongly recommend that the management address the systemic issues within their ordering system to provide a more satisfactory...
