Iman Koeyteow Kerang in Alor Setar is a hidden gem that is definitely worth a visit. This small restaurant serves up some of the best koey teow kerang (rice noodles with cockles) I've ever had.
Located on Jalan Langgar, the restaurant is easily accessible by car and there is plenty of parking available. The restaurant itself is small but cozy, with friendly staff who are always happy to help.
The star of the show at Iman Koeyteow Kerang is undoubtedly the food. The koey teow is perfectly cooked and has a great texture, and the cockles are fresh and flavorful. The dish is served in a delicious broth with just the right amount of spice.
In addition to the koey teow kerang, the restaurant also serves other delicious dishes such as mee goreng and nasi goreng. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable.
Overall, I would highly recommend Iman Koeyteow Kerang to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Malaysian cuisine in Alor Setar. The food is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and welcoming. It's definitely worth a visit if you're...
Read moreWhoever comes to Alor Setar but did not stop by this famous koey teow kerang spot is really such a waste. Naim Koey Teow Kerang not only serves scrumptious, mouth-watering koey teow kerang but also serves chicken rice, satay, nasi lemak, roti arab and many more. Sometimes during the peak hours especially after isyak prayer, we can hardly find any seat as there were so many people. Nonetheless, the service is super fast and you don't have to wait too long to get your favourite koey teow kerang. Something unique about this restaurant is that the taste of the kuey teow kerang never change since I started eating here when I was only five years old until I'm old enough to enter college now. It gives a deep impression on me until now. I really recommend this koey teow kerang spot to all of you😉. Oh! They usually open at 6 p.m. until...
Read moreI have to say.. the Kuey teow topped with half-fried egg is very good. It's not too wet to begin with, and the egg sort of complements the whole plate of Kuey teow. Oh yea, best part is it's not very oily. I also tried the laksa, claimed very very good by the locals. I have to clarify, it's not heavenly good... It's just normal malay style laksa. I might still prefer the laksa teluk kechai. Satay is also quite good. But 90 cents one satay is considered expensive here already. The gravy is not rich enough. Overall, I will definitely come back for the Kuey teow with egg. Price is reasonable rm5.50 for bullseye's Kuey teow and 4 for laksa. Parking can be tricky coz it gets...
