Restoran D' Syarifah Seafood — Restaurant in Kedah

We chose this restaurant as it was easy to access for everyone from all directions. Located just 200m from the Alor Setar Utara exit of the North-South Expressway alongJalan Langgar, it was very visible, even for first-timers.

We had chosen the restaurant for dinner to 11 people as an act of gratitude for their unwavering volunteer service to the Pusat Operasi Banjir Khidmat Malaysia Pokok Sena for the previous two weeks.

Our dinner was the Tom Yam fare complete with Siakap Tiga Rasa and Steamed Siakap. We had booked the place only two hours ahead but needless to say that the food was served on time. We had to wait for just 15 minutes!

The atmosphere was just right, except for the rain lasted about an hour. I've noticed that the parking facilities was a bit insufficient for such a famous restaurant. We had to park some of our cars across the road. If rain had poured down earlier, we would have difficulty to get into the restaurant.

The seatings are quite large & enough. You can choose whether to sit on chairs or on the floor. The menu is diverse. You can choose whether to eat seafood, Thai food, Malay food or western food. The waiters & the checkout counter are using tablet for orders & payment which is good so that the waiters will not wrongly take your orders. The food were quite tasty and the portion were large corresponding with the price. One thing bad about this restaurant is the service. My food came out very late approximately 30 minutes after my orders were taken and there were very few people when i arrived at the restaurant. There were also no Foodpanda riders at the time. I wonder why the food arrived very late...

Masakan kedai ni memang sedap. Tapi owner kedai ni kena bagi perhatian mengenai servis yang diberikan oleh staff. Mungkin boleh bg training dekat staff so that staff tu pandai sikit nak alert dgn keperluan customer. Ini kalau order untuk take away kadang customer la nak kena tgk sendiri dah siap ke tak sedangkan makanan bungkus tu dah byk ada dkt kaunter, tinggal nak serah je dkt customer. Kalau order air untuk bungkus, customer jugak yg kena alert tengok siap ke belum sebab kalau tak memang air tu duk bersidai la dkt situ takdak sapa nak tolong hantarkan dekat customer. Sebab apa? Staff kadang tu sibuk bersembang berjemaah dkt meja depan tu. Yg tukang air tu pun, kalau dah siap buat air bungkus tu cuba bagitau dkt pekerja yg duduk area tu so sama sama alert. Takpun kalau nampak ada customer duk usha belah situ, cuba la tnya "ada order air sekian sekian ke, ha ni dah siap boleh ambik." Takdak la duk tercongok customer tu tertanya tanya tu air dia ke? Sbb nak tggu sampai dekat meja macam bertahun gak la. Kadang rasa macam ni kedai self service pulak kalau dah semua benda nak kena pi tanya buat sendiri.

Review ni adalah hasil kunjungan saya yang berkali-kali di kedai ini yang mana saya still berharap pada setiap kunjungan saya, servis pekerja akan improve tapi malangnya tidak.
