Situated away from the bustling city, this restaurant is located at a humble home which has a stall at its compound, famous for its home cooked based food. Well, I would say the food is certainly living up to the expectations.. it's tasty and full of spice. There are quite a lot of varieties there. And I have had a lot of Indian food in Alor Setar, this is by far one of best. Owner is friendly. My personal favourite is the spicy mutton curry. Damn, it really can get those taste buds kicking. Googled for Indian Restaurant nearest to GH Alor Setar and came here based on the reviews. Honestly no regrets, I was not dissatisfied at all. Home cooked Indian food, simply heartwarming. It’s a small shop in a Taman. The shop owner were very friendly. We tried most of their dishes. They have a variety of vege and non vege dishes. Very clean and tasty food. Tried out Malathi's for lunch around 1PM. There were still a fair amount of dishes available just that a little sparse on the veg options. Self service, grab a plate and load it up. You can add on an order for a fried omelette with onions etc. The taste of fhe food was quite alright. Price wise, a plate of rice, two halves of tofu sambal, cabbage and a onion omelette cost RM10.
