We arrived at 11.15am but were told that all orders would only be taken at 12nn. The rest had only a couple of people waiting at the time. By 11.30am the crowd had literally begun to pour in. The tables were fully taken by 11.35am and the crowd waiting for empty tables began to grow. A separate line for take-away had formed and by 11.50 there were some 30 pax waiting. And they didn't even begin to serve the food. It seemed like they could only do that at exactly 12nn. The worst thing was the immense heat emanating from the 3 massive saucepans holding the Briyani rice. I had never sweat so much while sranding still!!! When they finally began taking orders it was incredibly slow. The order-takers were also packers and they also calculated the cost. This made the line move at an unbelievably slow pace (while still sweating like a pig). Added to this was the irritating way everyone working would stop what they were doing to attend to random problems. By the time i got my food the waiting crowd had grown massively creating traffic jams with cars parked haphazardly on the roads. I ordered 2 plain Briyani, a mutton paratal, chicken varuvel, fried chicken which came to rm35.00. I would rate the food average to good. But the wait and other assorted issues along the way would not allow me to visit it again. There are...

I’m writing to express my disappointment with Bamboo Biryani after hearing about an upsetting experience my mother had. She was at the restaurant (Andalas) when a lady at the cashier—who appeared to be in her 30s—yelled at her for simply suggesting that one of the side dishes (okra) was too salty for her friend, who has a sore throat. Please take note that she didn't mention anything about the main dishes.

It’s disheartening to know that a customer would be treated with such disrespect, especially someone as deserving of kindness as my mother, who is in her mid-60s. I believe it’s a customer’s right to provide feedback, and this kind of rudeness is unacceptable. Isn’t it a good thing for customers to provide feedback? It offers an opportunity for improvement.

I’m leaving a 1-star review for Bamboo Biryani solely due to the disrespect my mother faced during her visit.

Because of this incident, I won’t be visiting Bamboo Biryani. I hope the management takes this matter seriously and fosters a more respectful environment for all...

I recently had the pleasure of trying Bamboo Biryani, and it was an unforgettable experience. The moment it arrived, the aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. Cooked and served inside a bamboo shoot, the biryani had a unique smoky fragrance and deep, rich flavors that set it apart from any other biryani I've ever had.

The rice was perfectly cooked—each grain separate, fluffy, and soaked in the essence of the spices and bamboo. The meat (I tried the country chicken/mutton/prawn was tender, juicy, and fell apart effortlessly. What impressed me the most was the balance of spices: bold, but not overwhelming, and deeply satisfying.

Presentation was beautiful too—served hot straight from the bamboo, adding to the rustic and authentic appeal. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience!

If you're a biryani lover or just looking to try something extraordinary, Bamboo Biryani is a must-try. Highly...

My very first time eating Bamboo Biryani and it's really good. I'd imagine that the portion is going to be difficult for me to finish but lo and behold, I managed to finish it up and still have space for another half plate. That's just how good it is. My personal favorite is the Bamboo Biryani Chicken compared to the Bamboo Biryani Mutton. Definitely would want to try how is their Bamboo Briyani Fish on my next visit. After meals, it is one of their policies to clean up after yourselves. Just bin the banana leaf and waste into their bin at the back and place the tray at the designated spot. This is something I would approve and encourage to others to instill good self service manners.

A very good experience and great taste of Briyani during my briyani hunting. The price is reasonable as well. Most of their drinks are placed in a bamboo as a glass which is something special. I ordered the chicken briyani and mutton briyani and both of them were served on a banana leaf which is very nice. Well the vege portion was less and I think it would be nice if they also include some yoghurt or some savoury sauce would be great. I personally didn’t like their onion vege with mayonnaise though. The curry sauce came with the meal was too watery until the taste abit off. Overall it was a great tryout.
