Taman Rakyat — Attraction in Klang Municipal Council

It is one of the few large green public areas in the Royal Town. Very popular with the people of Klang South. It is always busy during the weekends. Finding a parking space can be a headache between 5PM and 7PM. There are paved tracks running around the park. Some may be tough for the unfit. As the park circles a small hill, there are tracks that go up at a steep incline. However, there are easier tracks for those who just want a light workout. The park is a good place to bring kids, too. There is a big playground for the young ones to have fun. Great park in an area accessible to residents in Klang South.

The open space in the lower level is good for walks for all age group and is well lit into the late evening when the air is cooler.

The upper level inside the wooded area is more undulating and provide good workout if you do it at a fast pace. The highest level provide views of the town.

The popularity of the park also reflects the lack of comparable facilities in other park of this town.

The kids playground is in bad condition. MPK needs to understand 1) Malaysians are inconsiderate and not bothered to maintain and use the facilities with care hence MPK needs to install equipment that can standup to prison level abuse 2) u have to keep maintaining and refurbishing the playground and equipment until the Malaysian education system magically catches up and the people and the offsprings learn to use public spaces...
