We had a surprise at our neighbourhood yesterday. Finally a Dai Chau that suits our taste. We didn't go in because the name is Luan Luan Chao as we don't Luan Luan Chi. Food was surprisingly yummy and full flavoured unlike many Dai Chao in our which is on a mild not enough ingredients side. They don't serve pork so the sweet and sour chicken gave me a surprise too. My first bite was on the fried chicken skin that was so thin, so crispy that it melted in my mouth along with the sauce. Soooo yummy. Chicken cubes without the skin is just common lar. Taste is just nice. I like the bitter gourd egg as well as the egg is cooked scrambled egg still, juicy and smooth with some small prawns in it. The Kou Hai (crab) meehon was really alluring too. Although the crab is a lil small, the whole meehon is filled with fried shallots that made up for the absence of pork lard. Nam yu Kai is the traditional taste on sweet side. We will definitely come back for the food. Saw google review that it is packed on weekends so better book...
Read moreChinese restaurant non halal. Quite crowded - recommend to reserve a room or table. Long waiting time for the food about 30-40 minutes. The boss did informed earlier. Boss & staff very friendly. But it was worth the wait 😌
Food was really really good especially the mantis prawn salted egg & fried baby squid (sotong Kia). Their braised chicken feet is spicy ya. Steamed lala unfortunately sold out. Their CNY lou sang is special too - fruit lou sang. Steam teochew fish & seaweed fishball soup is delicious too. The soup very suitable for toddlers. Fishball super big & bouncy, you can taste its freshly made not those factory production. They have jelly coconut too , sweet with a slight saltiness aftertaste. Wonderful to end the meal with.
It’s better to clean the utensils/cutlery with the hot water, cause they were some oil stains. So minus 1 ⭐️ for cleanliness. Otherwise food is really good. Reasonable...
Read moreA Chinese seafood restaurant (its name informs), but you can also order pork dishes. There is no menu to select your dishes, so the only way is to ask the attendants what dishes are available, and the price.
Among the seafood dishes available, you can get baby shark here, served as a curry dish. Something not commonly found.
For vegetables, do try their cabbage dish. Quite tasty. Cooked with dry prawns and a big fire, the dish comes with a smoky flavour.
There are no curtains hanging on the walls, so the walls and floors reflect sound quite well. The place is actually noisy due mostly to...
