This seafood restaurant has been around for maybe 20 odd years already. The place is old and most of the eating area is open air. However don't concern yourself about the old looking place.

The place actually does not look like it would be a good restaurant. They fail in first impressions. Entering the area leads you to step on their well worn timber floor boards. Do however note that the floor planks are solid and they don't creek or sag when stepped on. Sitting is via their plastic chairs. So as I mentioned, don't worry about looks - come here for the seafood.

The words "yacht club" in their name is probably from a long gone era. Today, there are no yachts, dinghy or other boats here.

I believe their unique dish here is the silverfish. Their deep-fried silver fish with salted egg yolk is very tasty. This fish is actually the whitebait from China. They are fried whole and you eat everything, flesh and bones. But the bones are so soft, you won't actually know that there were even bones in the fish. The silver fish are about 25 to 50 millimeters long.

The whitebait served here is the immature fish fry from China where they were raised in fish farms, frozen and then exported. I don't know what species of fish is this Chinese whitebait silver fish. Its English name is silver fish due to translation from Chinese. However, this whitebait silver fish is a delicacy here in Labuan.

Overall, the seafood here is what we eat. No pork served in this restaurant. Enjoy their seafood and ignore the appearance of the...

During my stay in Labuan, I had dinner at the marina, which is popular with people on the island, for two days.

The menu I ordered when I visited the marina. [Soup]

■Sea cucumber soup 2.5 ~ 3.5 servings Sea cucumber, silk tofu, fluffy egg, shredded carrot, shiitake mushroom.

The well-balanced ingredients, the softness of the sea cucumber and the richness of the soup were very good, and the temperature of the warm soup was also very good.

The size is quite large.

■Clab Meat Corn soup (crab corn soup) 1-2 servings

The smallest size of soup. The temperature of the soup is also hot, which is very good for those who like hot food.

The ingredients are simple, crab meat and corn.

[Rice] ■Girlic Fried Rice 2.5 ~ 3 servings Stable and delicious classic garlic fried rice. Fried garlic is served on top.

Seasoned fried rice that even children can eat.

[Silver Fish] ■Salted Egg Silver Fish (fried white fish) 3-4 servings It's quite a volume, so it's a good dish to order with a large number of people.

[Mussels] ■ Beaked A dish like mussels cooked in the oven. Because the sauce like gochujang mayonnaise is sprinkled on the mussels and baked.

The richness of the heated mayonnaise enhances the taste of the mussels,

It ’s delicious even if you eat it alone. The over-sprinkled sauce was delicious even when eaten with garlic fried rice.

I came to the store in heavy rain, so I didn't have the moment to take a picture, so I will comment only on my...

I called (11am) them for reservation (since it was a special occasion for my spouse n i) but the lady said no need to reserve if for 2 person n we could just come dine in. By 8pm, my spouse n I arrived and sat at the table near to their washroom as thats the only vacant table available. Waited few minutes for staff to come but no one came, when there’s 1 staff who came to drop off food at the table near us, my husband called and said we want to order but the staff seem reluctant and just signal ok.

We patiently waited for a few more minutes hoping that at least she called another staff to take our order but to no avail. My husband then take the effort to go to their counter and just order from there but the staff at the counter said its not their duty and the other staff said his job is only to make drinks. After that, my husband comes to our table and said “lets get out from here and eat at a different seafood restaurant” “service is HORRIBLE”. That’s the first n last time we’ll set our foot there, its just a WORST, NEGATIVE , TERRIBLE AND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Mawilla, a bit of suggestion for improvement la ha, peoples who comes to eat CAN afford ba to pay, if u got ur hand full, then hire extra younger n active staffs. Do briefing with them so that they know how to do TEAMWORK. In the end, it’ll...

I was brought to this place by a friend and it was a really fantastic recommendation. There was a large layout of fresh flower crabs, crayfish, prawns and an assortment of fishes, all apparently were caught on the same day. It was beside the sea and the restaurant had all the basic tables and chairs. It could have enhanced their layout to bring up the atmosphere. Anyway, most came for the food and being by the sea, it was already considered great dining experience. The two of us had salted egg flower crabs, steamed garoupa, calamari and vegetable. We washed down our food with beer. The bill came up to 117 Ringgits for food and 23 for beer. Very reasonable indeed. Service was a breeze and food presentation normal. The waiting staff was very obliging and tried their best to provide great service to the guests. They are fantastic and you can expect a great meal to be served well in this restaurant. I strongly recommend visitors to try this restaurant. Thank you for feeding us with great seafood.

Dinner at Labuan during work trip. This seafood restaurant is the must-go on the island. Went twice the same place, on one occasion we had the ikan masak merah. It is best cooked with snapper, but the fish option was not available that day hence we replaced with white pomfret. On another occasion, we had the steam fish chosen by ourselves. Garlic fried rice was delicious with the "wok hei", and we were satisfied with the fried sotong & bittergourd egg. Ordered also the silver fish goreng. Tasted normal. Butter prawns are not as fresh as expected, lacking the umami taste, whilst the cheese baked prawns are superb! Servings options available in S, M and L. M can cater for 6 pax but the portion for vegetables are small. Overall a great experience with the seaview during daytime.
