This was my first visit after discovering the restaurant's ad on Facebook. I ordered their WLC2 lamb chop, served with a side of fries and a spicy black pepper sauce. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. The second piece of lamb was undercooked, with the center still red. Additionally, the sauce lacked the promised spice and was not concentrated enough.
For the second course, I tried the NR00 Nasi Goreng Phuket. While most elements were enjoyable, the prawns and mussels were disappointing. They weren’t cleaned properly, leaving a gritty texture and a noticeable taste of sand, which detracted from what could have been a good dish.
For the drink, I ordered the BR41Cincau Susu. Sadly, the grass jelly seemed to be from old stock, carrying an unpleasant smell, possibly from a can that had been opened and left in the fridge for too long.
The service was quite impressive. They use QR codes for accessing the menu, which is a thoughtful feature, it allows customers to take their time deciding what to order without the pressure of a queue behind them. They also employ robots to serve the food, adding a modern and efficient touch to the experience. The waiting time was excellent as well, I only had to wait 11 minutes for the food to arrive.
The atmosphere was pleasant overall, with adequate space and the added convenience of a free parking lot. However, I’d recommend avoiding seats near the entry road, especially on windy days or when cars are passing by, as you might feel sand flying around, which can be...
Read moreI’m sitting at my table as I write this review. I’ve been here 30 minutes and so far only water, has arrived, and that only after 15 minutes waiting. I’m thirsty and hungry - this looked like a good place to pull in to satisfy both. Menu is limited to fried food, no veggies and very expensive for what it is. My chicken when it arrived didn’t come with rice - surely rice is standard anywhere in Malaysia? Maybe it’s just my face. Place Looks good but no thanks. Won’t be coming here again.
Post script. In the end there was no rice. Apparently they ran out. I think if I was the owner or manager and saw that the basic staple food of my country was running out, I’d take a quick drive to the local supermarket and buy some more. They also charged me for the tap water. I sound sound like a real complainer but actually it’s the first restaurant review I’ve ever written. I’ll have to make sure I write some good ones in future for balance.
Post Scipt January 2024.
