During our visit to Langkawi, we also had the pleasure of having a lunch at Pia's The Padi, and to experience a meal that was both flavorful and satisfying. We ordered the Beef Rendang and Vegetable Butter Chicken, both of which left a lasting impression.

The Beef Rendang was a highlight, featuring tender, melt-in-your-mouth beef coated in a rich, aromatic curry. The flavors were well-balanced, offering a pleasant combination of spice and sweetness that perfectly complemented the steamed rice it was served with. It's clear that this dish is one of the restaurant's signature offerings, and it did not disappoint.

The Vegetable Butter Chicken, a twist on the traditional butter chicken using a variety of vegetables, was also enjoyable. The creamy, buttery sauce was indulgent without being overly heavy, and it generously coated the fresh vegetables, making for a comforting and hearty dish.

The ambiance of Pia's The Padi, set against the backdrop of paddy fields, added to the overall enjoyment of the meal, though the fields were not at their greenest due to the season. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our meal. In addition, the owner helped us very quickly when we noticed that the battery of our car died while we were eating.

Overall, Pia's The Padi is a must-visit if you're in Langkawi, especially for those who appreciate rich, well-prepared curries in a serene setting. Review of Pia's The Padi

As an unexpected but delightful surprise, we were also provided with a free salad. The salad was fresh and crisp, offering a refreshing contrast to the rich curries. The inclusion of this complimentary dish added a thoughtful touch to our dining experience, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction.

What a great place all around! Definitely recommend anyone who loves Indian food. Amazing place, great food, wholesome decorating and very attentive staffs.

We had our early dinner at Pia and ordered 3 dishes. All of them were amazingly creamy and good. It’s not a very heavy Indian food and yet great taste. Less salt makes it even better because you can actually taste the meats and vegetables. We ordered 3 dish and 2 vegetables for our course but the owner came to tell us this is too much we order. We should at least take out 1 vegetables. What a great guy, instead of making more money, he is thinking out for his customers.

The decorations were amazing. Classic yet suits the vibe around the area. Lots of water features, greens and hills and padi fields near.

I actually love the fact that the owner makes an effort to talk to you and very friendly and hospitality is a dying trade these days which is a rare to see.. 2nd thing I love is that they serve you napkins and table water where many so called restaurants in Langkawi serve you tissue and charge you money for water.

To the owner boss, if you are reading this, please please do not stop serving table water. This makes us, customers, feels welcome. You might not make more money by selling bottle water but you have happy customers.

I strongly recommend this place. The price is absolute great for the quality of food and service you are getting. I would have been happy to pay more. Some of the traditional old fashion hospitality is very hard to find unless you are paying too dollar..

Try to go early...

This restaurant is way overpriced. Never read reviews from tripadvisor, here in Google we give far more honest reviews.

Went there for a lunch, renovations going on, so don't expect what you saw on the internet is what you going to see there, no view at all.

First of all, I never been to a restaurant that decided to use with a glass table top, and at the same time put up a notice ON THE TABLE (RM300 if glass broken)... Who the heck requested for a glass table top then?? First red flag, very uncomfortable sighting.

Then saw the price on the menu, wife completely shocked on the prices and wanted to leave, but convinced her maybe the food portion is big, ended decided to order curry chicken and lamb butter masala. One saving grace is the price comes with the rice.

Curry chicken is like water, not a gravy at all, tasted bland and gave us cheap chicken breast only. The lamb butter masala, cant taste the masala at all, and the lamb is so fatty, hardly can find proper meat.

RM44 for the bland chicken curry and RM56 for the fatty lamb masala.... Portion small also, completely regret this lunch.

Last but not least, since they charge so expensive, on top of that another 10% service charge? OMG speechless.

One time is enough, maybe suitable for foreigner only. Local please don't be water fish!

2 stars just only for the dining...

This place was a pleasant surprise, the kind of restaurant you would want to eat at while on your holiday! The location is not so convenient to get to but if you're driving or if you're okay with taking detours to try out new places, this is a must visit. Since the restaurant is located away from the city or crowded beach areas, it's serene and absolutely beautiful around. Small little place in between the fields against the backdrop of Langkawi's mountains. To add to the wonderful experience are the owner and the staff of the restaurant. He suggested some really good dishes and made sure we were comfortable to spice level in the dish. We ordered the fish sambal with rice and it was delicious. They also gave us a bowl of veggies in curry which was a part of the sambal dish. The spices in the dish were quite unique. The environment in the restaurant is quite homely, nothing too fancy or extravagant and the scenery around the restaurant speaks for itself. The price of the dishes was expensive compared to other places in Langkawi, but we felt it was worth the money. All in all, we were happy to go off the path to try this place out.

If you're from outside Malaysia, this would be considered quite cheap(around 10USD). But as for locals, its considered quite expensive to be honest. But, the portion of the food justifies it's cost. 1 chicken butter masala can feed 2 people (at least for me) so overall it costs around RM 20+ per person so it's good. The food itself tastes really good and the food is packed with wonderful flavours. The ambiance is also really nice. The best tables are beside the water rainforest feature but theres only a few tables so first come first serve I guess. The staff was also really nice. The place is quite dangerous to get to if you're going by car as the road is quite small and your car might fall into the small river beside the road if you're not careful, so I advise you to go by motorcycle instead to be on the safer side. The toilet is your average clean toilet so don't expect the toilet to be the ones that you find in 5 star hotels. Also, I didn't make any reservations and when I went, there wasn't anyone there. It was 12 in the afternoon.
