Feedback on My Experience at KAKA Café – 7th October 2025 I’ve been a regular customer at KAKA for many years, which shows how much I’ve appreciated their food, presentation, reasonable prices, and value for portion sizes. However, I had a very disappointing experience last night, 7th October 2025. As a regular, I know the café usually doesn’t accept phone orders. But due to our long-standing trust, they accepted my second phone order after many years of dining there. At 8:50 PM, I called to place an order for 4 dishes while I was still at the office (approximately a 7-minute drive, 4.1km away). At 9:08 PM, while I was just 1km away and heading there, I received a call from the owner. In an arrogant tone, she said in Bahasa: “Satgi kalau makanan sejuk, jangan dok salahkan kami na.” (Translation: “If the food is cold later on, don’t blame us, ok!”) Honestly, I was shocked. Where is the courtesy? That completely ruined my dinner mood. When I arrived one minute later, I saw a staff member placing the 4 dishes on a table—perfectly timed at just 18 minutes after the order was placed (which is unusually fast, considering it normally takes 40 minutes to an hour, depending on how busy it is). The owner approached me and apologized. I told her: “You shouldn’t speak to a customer like that. I’ve been supporting your café for many years. If I couldn’t make it on time or had to cancel, you could’ve simply called me and even charged me. You know where my office is.” Sadly, last night was my final dinner at KAKA. GOODBYE FOREVER.

Visited on July 7th 2024 9.00pm. When my family & I reached there, there is no other customer. We have a mixed feeling about the food and the service since it is totally no one other than us. We ordered 2 sets of chicken grill for my kids, 1 lamb grill, 1 salmon grill, 1 mushroom soup and 1 meat ball carbonara. Although there is only 4 of us, we put our bet and see how it turn. We sat around 10 minutes and other customer start to come over and suddenly all the table is almost full. 1st order was deliver after 15 minutes and we are totally surprised with the food presentation. It is better than fine restaurant. Then other dishes keep coming out from the kitchen and served to us. I was amazed with taste and the price. Really worth it. Located in the kampung area, i wasn't expected this kind of experience. They have set thier own standard and they are now a huge competitor from the other steak restaurant in Langkawi. If you would like to escape from having wonderful and delicious seafood in Langkawi and wish to try alternative food, please give them a visit. Should have branch in Klang Valley area. COMPLIMENT TO THE CHEF. HATS OFF.

Lovely place to dine with family.. Awesome food.. Had lamb chop, aglio olio beef bacon, Carbonara beef bacon, mushroom soup, shaker blue ice and epal asamboi. I love all the food that we ordered. The taste are just awesome. Actually we ordered Carbonara beef bacon but the kitchen prepared aglio olio beef bacon. As it look so well prepared and beautiful we just accept the dish and ordered another Carbonara. The owner came to our table and apologised abt it.. It was the first time we had such an experience.. It is awesome. Both aglio olio n Carbonara taste awesome and our kids love the Carbonara. My rating: Food 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Food presentation🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Place 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Comfort for kids 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Value for money 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Overall 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovely place to dine with family.. Awesome food.. Had lamb chop, aglio olio beef bacon, Carbonara beef bacon, mushroom soup, shaker blue ice and epal asamboi. I love all the food that we ordered. The taste are just awesome. Actually we ordered Carbonara beef bacon but the kitchen prepared aglio olio beef bacon. As it look so well prepared and beautiful we just accept the dish and ordered another Carbonara. The owner came to our table and apologised abt it.. It was the first time we had such an experience.. This place has been recommended by my friend who are the local people of Langkawi. He himself said that this place are among if the best western food server here in Langkawi. So I took that chance with my friend from terengganu while we were on vacation to taste it and we were ride bike all the way from chenang about 20mins, just to eat at this place. We ordered our main attention, pasta, My friend ordered Carbonara beef bacon and i ordered spaghetti meatball. Then we decide to order more which is the meat side. We were confius with chicken grill and chicken chop, obviously chicken grill is chicken thigh, grill onto hot pan. So we asked how they serve the chicken chop. The waitress said the chicken will be deep fry with bread crumbs. So we DON'T want the fry one and we choose the same chicken grill. And she repeated our order " so 4 orders la ye" thats the only she said. And we nodded. As usual, food came after that. Chicken grill was the first one been served... Bot of us are mind blowings with the mashed potatoes coz it tooo good. Then 10 mins after, my friends carbonara, along with chicken chop. WAIT... what...?! we didn't ordered that. This difference waitress were confius if she sent to wrong table...but definitely that was for us. The ordered waitress came with an argument said the we did ordered the chicken chop. And she kept pushing us said that we never said CANCEL.... when the hell we said that! We said that we wanted both chicken grill and dont want chicken chop coz it was fry... And i want spaghetti meatball, where is it?!... She said "saya tak dengar pon cik order spaghetti tu, saya tau cik ordered Carbonara then terus chicken chop" WOW....! She just did knocked my temper..! I raised my voice said "u tak dengar ke yg i tak nak chicken chop sebab goreng... I nak chicken grilled. Sama dgn kawan I... And betul chicken grilled sampai dulu... Then, mana spaghetti?" She said "saya tak dengaq pon cik sebut perkatan CANCEL, so saya tak cancel la..., ni dah masak chicken chop ni cam mana... Kena amik jugak..." Peh.... I replied " I tak nak chicken chop tu sebab goreng, paham tak?!" With my loud voice. "I nak spaghetti yg i ordered sebelum kitaorg mention pon pasal chicken" My friend interrupt "td u sebut last skali 4 ordered kan? Tapi tak ulang pon ape order tu, itu silap u la..." "Ordered 3 menu je, carbonara, spaghetti dgn 2 chicken grill... Then air..." She said "so chicken chop ni xnak la?" I replied in loud. "TAKNAK, I NAK SPAGHETTI..!" She said, "tp kena tunggu lama sikit." I said " tak kesah bape lama" She walked way... First time in my life, a waitress tried to manipulate customer's ordered. She mention that we never said CANCEL... dafuk...! Do i have to searching ur customer dialogue before i ordered? 2 mins after that, she came with my spaghetti said "oh ni spaghetti cik, memang kami ade tulis" "So... Obviously ur fault right?" So i just shut up and be calmed and eat my spaghetti, it was just nice but the meatballs was just cheap meatballs that u xan buy at Tesco and fries.... I was expecting that because it was in rm10 per plate. After done eating, we straight to the counter for payment. And the owner said that she trust her workers, "dia tu tegas, saya tau macam mana dia amik order" I replied "itu masalah dia buat silap, tak dengar betul2, then tak ulang order customer, ktaorg bayar yg 4 tu dgn air je... Kwan I org sini yg recommended tempat ni, tapi ni last la... Lepas ni dtg langkawi memang tak dtg or recommended sape2 dah." Then, we gone back to our hotel in chenang.

She just wanna win, win her mistakes and ket us pay for the damn chicken chop! Whatever in the world if u had the best food served in the Island but ur customer service are terrible. Customer wont come to ur place anymore.... Im so upset with these people. I gave 2 because of the food. Not the...

Food Presentation (Appearance): 4/5 The presentation is good, but the chef should avoid using pepper powder and chili sauce as decoration. The chili sauce is overpowering and clashes with the main black pepper sauce, which is slightly too salty.

Coleslaw: 1/5 It’s just mayonnaise and vegetables. Adding cream, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard could significantly improve the flavor.

Sirloin Steak: 1/5 Disappointing. The portion is small, the slice is too thin, and it’s overcooked, making it tough.

Grilled Lamb: 3.5/5 While tender, the portion size is small.

Mashed Potato: 5/5 Nice and creamy

Vegetables: 5/5 Nice, especially seared carrots. Soft and tasty.

Meatballs: 1/5 They are dry and tough, not enjoyable at all.

Potato Wedges: 3/5 The wedges themselves are good, but pouring chili and cheese sauces over them ruins the experience. It’s better to serve the sauces separately for dipping.

Lemon Ice: 3/5 Overly sour and lacking enough sweetness.

Parking Space: 5/5 Plenty of parking space available, which is convenient.

Music: 1/5 The music is too loud and doesn’t match the theme of the venue, making the atmosphere unpleasant.

Final Thoughts The food quality feels overrated. I’m not planning to visit this place again unless significant...
