I often visit KFC Semabok since itâs the nearest KFC to my home, and I usually enjoy my meals here. However, my recent experience was very disappointing.
When I ordered five pieces of chicken, I was told that the restaurant was âclosing down soonâ and I would need to wait around 30 minutes for my food. I understand that delays can happen, but during peak hours like Saturday, the restaurant should have enough manpower and stock to serve customers efficiently â especially since this is a fast-food restaurant, where customers should not have to wait that long.
What made the situation worse was how it was communicated. The staff told me rudely that they were closing and that the outlet was no longer open 24 hours. The tone made it feel like I was being discouraged from ordering, which is not appropriate for customer service.
â ď¸ I hope the management can retrain staff on communication skills and improve manpower planning during busy hours. A polite explanation and better preparation would make a huge difference.

I ordered chicken nuggets and wedges and they had me waiting for more than half an hour there. what makes me frustrated most is that customers that came after me had received their order and I havenât. They said that they only had nuggets, wedges, and fries on their menu and they had no items left on the menu that night. But they still make me wait that long even when I ordered simple stuff that can be served immediately. If I came to Macdonald and ask for fries or ice cream or any other snacks that are easy to serve and wouldnât take much time to serve they would prioritize serving those that they can serve immediately but the same experience canât be said for KFC. I loved the KFC menu and I love eating all the snacks there and i wouldnât mind waiting for half an hour for chicken or burgers but when you make me wait for half an hour for wedges and nuggets that just make me disappointed in KFC services and management on how they prioritize orders.    Read moreThe worst place ever. We line up for a drive-thru for about 30 minutes. Once we arrived at the order point, nobody entertained us for about 2/3 minutes. We called for assistance but got no answer from the KFC staff. SILENT and a misstatement notice show "Temporarily closed. Under maintenance". Is it so difficult to say, "Hi, Welcome to KFC. Can you wait for a while?"
Once we arrived at the delivery point, the staff did not look at us. So we decided to order inside for takeaway. Many customers are waiting, and were told it takes 45 minutes to prepare the meals.
We do not believe that KFC has to prepare its meal for more than 15 minutes.
They suppose to prepare the meal earlier and, within experience, will know the total inventory required during the festive season.
We saw the manager and staff mingled around outside the restaurant during this hour.
Generally, when the crowd/customer is vast, the management will reschedule the staff breaking/resting time until it is manageable.
