I went twice here this month, in February 2024. First, on February 17th, I was really excited to be here with a friend. I never expected there to be a hidden gem cafe hidden in the forest, with a beautiful river flowing through and beside the cafe. It was so relaxing, serene, and soothing while enjoying your meals, looking at the beautiful nature, and listening to the river flow. I saw some crowds come here, bringing their kids and taking a chance to have fun bathing and enjoying the fresh, cold water from the hills. I'm not sure if it's free or if you have to pay if you only want to bathe in the river because this area is not a public place but belongs to the cafe. By the way, I ordered lamb biryani, chicken biryani, laksa johor, pineapple, and watermelon juice. The lamb and the chicken were really tender and tasted delicious together with the biryani rice, oishii! I really recommend this menu. Laksa Johor also tastes quite authentic. During my visit, it was quite full of customers, but surprisingly, I didn't have to wait long; within 15-20 minutes, I got what I ordered.

27/2: I was on my way back to my hometown, so I took a chance to stop by for brunch. I really fall in love with these cafe vibes. This time around, I ordered Aglio Olio Seafood Pasta. The taste is quite good, but I had tasted a better Aglio before. I felt something was missing; maybe it needs a little bit of spiciness from chilli flake. Only 10–15 minutes waiting. Quite fast.

The staff—waiter and waitress—are friendly and helpful; my only comment is for the cashier guy. I came here twice, but I got the same unfriendly vibe from the same cashier with a sour face. I asked him twice if I could pay by card, but he didn't reply clearly to me. I had to raise my voice and ask for the third time if I could use my card to pay. Then only he replied clearly, 'Yes, you can'. Please be more friendly with a happy smile with your customers...

Went there for dinner. The place itself is very beautiful. The ambiance is fresh. But NOT THE FOOD. I cannot say it taste so-so. For me, it taste so bad. Presentation is good. But tasteless. Some of them, I can't even figure out what kind of dishes are they. The rose drink is over sweet.

And I don't like the staffs' manners themselves. We paid. Don't treated us like we are begging for food. We paid you. A day before, I called the premise to make a reservation but 'he' refused since we are only 12 person. And today, one of my staff texted 'the supervisor' and she accept the reservation. Why is this happening?

Once I arrive, I asked for our seat and one of their staff ask whether to cook the dishes right away but a 'woman staff' then replied not yet; firmly, not until all of us arrived. Ok. We go our seats. After sometimes, I go to the counter again and ask what time my staff ask them to cook because it is about 6pm already. She said wait until everybody arrives. It doesn't take long to cook. About 15-20 minutes only. I said ok, but please don't take longer time.

Then, they plated the dishes on the table but guess what? It doesn't hot at all. Not even warm (except for the fish because it comes later with a burner). So, are you sure they just cook it for us? No cooking steam and the plate not even warm. I do cooks sometimes at home. And I know it won't turn cold so instantly.

The horrible part which make my friend throw out is, she encounter with snails residue inside the tea jug. So gross!

I won't recommend this place to any of my family and friends, sorry. But I don't force anybody else to do so. Up to yourself to decide. As for me, this might be the first and last. For RM60/pax, it is not worthed for me!

Please change. (SORRY FOR MY...

Came here yesterday after our short trip to the Japanese tea house close by that’s already another rip off. So ya about Tanah Aina food is extremely over priced. The food they served is at best edible. I basically can find any Myanmar chef that can cook the same tasting food which they are offering at a premium price. I saw a lady running up and down coordinating the food to be served for the customer and the cleanliness of the dining area (she’s prolly the owner or manager and she definitely deserve a 5 star) other than that’s it’s 1 time visit. Staff is not honest, already ask if the food portion will be too big for 2 of us or not and he basically says no. Anyways I hope the boss can find someone to help her manage this place well or soon it will be gone. And we actually came to surveys for our next group visit but due to a bad experience with the food we decided this will be our last visit and our group visit will be somewhere else.

I will leave this to the owner or the lady. Table number is 22, time is around 445 pm so yea I hope your staff reach out to you and tell you the problem we faced. Picture and images already shown to your staff and forwarded to a WhatsApp number as well.

Food we have : Cashew nut chicken Homemade Thai tofu (this is the funniest to me when it arrived, I’m no food critique but a food lover but for that god damn price please make it worth it) Kailan with Ikan masin

1x coconut 1x watermelon 1x air Suam

1 Oreo cake desert with tea

Total amount around RM 152

(Owner resolved the issue and kept her promise 26.9.2023 hopefully she will make more changes to this outlet and get the experience level on par to the prices is charge for food here, thank...

Went here on the insistence of the missus. Drove and drove and drove... and missed the turning cos the signboards are soooooo bad! Had to make a massive u-turn and finally got to the parking. Had to walk quite a bit on this makeshift bridge which they call "A bridge under a bridge". Got there, sat down, and was attended to by a very polite gentleman. There's a lot of seating so take your pick. Just remember that if you sit near the river, you'll probably have to deal with screaming idiotic children playing. If you hate kids like I do, that's going to be a problem. I got the nasi goreng Aina and the missus got the laksa Johor; we shared a cucur udang. Food finally came and it was definitely pretty... and that was it. The fried rice was soooooo boring, and the missus said she's had better laksa at roadside stalls. The cucur udang was 1 prawn wrapped in a tonne of batter. Absolutely crap! Seems like this place gives more importance to figure than form; as long as it's pretty, it doesn't matter if it tastes atrocious. My advice = if you're going to drive allllll the way from Klang Valley to go there for the food, please don't! You can find better food in a million different places. But if you want to drive to feed your camera, then yeah, it's worth it. Me, I'm NEVER going back again!
