富临中华楼Foo Lum Zhong Hua Restaurant PLT — Restaurant in Perak

We had family dinner there twice in july and august. They provide ample amount of tables, the food are average but the service is extremely poor. We waited for more than one hour after we placed our order when we went in July. The waiter explained we should make reservation earlier before we come to avoid long waiting hour. So, we make reservation and place our order way before our next visit. We booked the table at 7pm, and our food comes around 8:30pm(this is under pre-booked condition). I went and inquired at the front desk after 45min waiting, and they told us because they need to complete the 6pm customer’s order first, and promised that we are the next one. Alright, we understand. But, guess what? they served the tables who booked for 8pm first (not just one table). They came way after us, and some even late for their reservation, but their food was served in 15min once they sit down. After seeing a few 8pm reserved tables being served, we almost decided to leave the place(We have reminded and ask the waiters a few times in between). My sister went to “question” the kitchen, and they told us they will start to cook now. Hello, after more than 1 hour waiting, they only start to cook for our table, what a joke! when we ask them, their just brush us off or ignore us. This is a restaurant that really suits family and friends gathering. They even provide wheelchair access.

This restaurant let customer to make a reservation in advance if customer want. Customer even can order dishes first before they arrive the restaurant, this made the serving time will be much shorter.

The dishes they serve are really big portion. Customer with small appetite need take note of this, but the waiter can help customer to take away the leftover, so no worries about that.Their dishes are really fresh and would not feel so salty and oily.

The atmosphere is quite okay. The restaurant is very bright and the air cond is cold. The distance between tables are quite far, customer would not feel very packed at there.

The waiters are quite friendly, when they saw my family want to eat cake, they help us to clean up the table and provide new and clean plates for us to enjoy our cake.

This is a Chinese restaurant, so they also provide some nice pork dishes. But they don't allow pet to dine in.

Overall, this is a nice restaurant with delicious food and good ambience. I would recommend to other to try when they visited...

It was a Sunday and when reached the place @ 11.40am, there were lots of available parking spaces and no customers yet...... Its an enclosed air-conditioned restaurant with many many tables setting...

The food was good, fresh and tasty, especially the fish and the claypot dishes. However, some of the dishes were too salty. I wonder if the local taste buds are accustomed to eating saltier dishes.... The good thing for me was that I didn't feel thirsty after eating the salty dishes. As I am sensitive to MSG, I usually get thirsty after eating food cooked with MSG and need to drink a lot of water - at least 2 to 3 glasses. Apparently, their tasty food was not cooked with MSG condiments or seasoning, which was very good.

The crowd started to come in one group after another group for lunch and the restaurant become lively... however it also become noiser which was common in Chinese...
