Oscar Suites Hotel — Hotel in Perak

Have always wanted to experience this establishment as it has one of the more contemporary facade outlook here and finally visited the Oscar Suites Hotel in Sitiawan/ Lumut and booked a room for a night. ||The hotel does not seem to have lifts, but instead has a design staircase leading up to rooms on other levels. Fortunately, we were assigned to a ground floor room.||Front desk was nice and polite enough upon checking in with transactional service levels. Room was rather spacious and sufficiently clean. Bed was a welcoming comfort after a long journey. There was a ventilator fan in the bathroom and could be thus why there were a few mosquitos in the room. ||Sound proofing needs a whole lot more work as sounds from the corridor, TV from the lobby and vehicular noises from the roads can be heard till late night, affecting the sleep quality.||Felt safe to leave the car as parking is private and I was able to park right in front of the lobby.||Apart from the soundproofing aspect, the establishment could make for a good accommodation in this area for a hotel...

There is no proper soap or shampoo dispenser in the room. Only a dispenser that resembles exactly like those hand soap dispenser in shopping malls toilet. No indication is for body or hair or top to toe. No soap nor glass cup in toilet. ||2. Rooms ground floor located next to car park. Some rooms are with window blinds and not curtains which make it not convenient for room guests who need sunlight. Lift the blinds will allow outsiders to view the room privacy.||3. TV signals was bad and lagging. Channels limited.||4. Receptionists were not friendly. Security guard was more friendly.||5. Hotel beside main road meaning traffic noise throughout the nights. Fast check in, parking is given. No lift provided. Location is quite good.

The room is quite small. Room to fit a big bed (slightly hard bed) and 2 feet all around. Toilet is ok , but some places are moldy. Maybe just need some small renovation and repair.

From the advertising photos, we saw a double bed with 4 pillows, but we only had 2 pillows. When we asked for additional pillows, we were told that there would be an additional charge: RM5 for an extra pillow, which is unbelievable.

The environment is too noisy and I can't sleep...
