For dinner, I drove further into Pantai Remis town to try one of the restaurants which I wanted to try. But alas, it was not meant to be when it was closed - problem with restaurants in small towns is that they close without any notification. Google stated that they are opened but it was not - so I quickly drove to the second choice which was Ling Song Kee.
This might be the biggest restaurant in town, taking 3 units of shophouses. There were not many customers inside the restaurant at that time which made me doubted my decision but it was soon quashed when the food was served.
◾Crab Fried Rice - purposely ordered a bigger portion so that the young ones can eat the nicely fried rice infused with the sweetness of the crab, while the parents can devour the crustaceans peacefully. ◾Drunken prawn with glass noodle - powerful soup with so much Chinese wine but not overpowering, and brimming with sweetness from the prawns.. Service was attentive and the...
Read moreLSK is a brand name in Pantai Remis when it comes to seafood dining. Established as the place to eat for the last 15 to 20 years ago, today it has its very own plaza like building with hotel above. There's no menu, so you would ask the waiter it waitress to recommend what's good. Food quality is good, tasty and clean environment suitable for family dining. Pricing is above average but there's really no other restaurant in town that rivals LSK at the moment. A Hong Kong celebrity visited this restaurant many years ago and that probably rubbed in some influence and popularity for this place. Recommended restaurant when in...
