Not the most hygienic place to have your meal but the condiments, garlic with vinegar and garlic chilli paste is worth mentioning. They are mildly flavoured for the faint hearts and children who cannot take extreme kicks on their tastebuds. They are just suitable to pair with the loh mees and wantans. However, I feel this place deserves an extra star for the asam laksa which is quite underrated. Asam laksa here really mimics the one I had in Penang. However the Wantan soup is subpar as the meat is too little with thick wantan skins. Most of the food here is generously garnished with shallots and vegetables which is a good thing. Overall the small eatery here offers budget friendly options with medium sized portions. For their drinks, quite expensive though. Here we can buy the dry packs mee for souvenirs and gifts, they are quite average priced with...

Noodles recommend everyone are dry noodles, egg swallow and lu noodles. The noodles here are thin and flat, and they are soft and not chewy.

As for braised noodles, it is definitely not the taste that everyone usually eats. The Fuzhou version of braised noodles has a very thick soup and asparagus, pork, shredded squid, black fungus, eggs, cabbage, etc. Besides, the boss mention that the other way of having is add on laksa soup to the braised soup to form braised spicy soup! The taste is unique.

Fuzhou people commonly call Fuzhou egg noodles as Eggs Yan, and Fuzhou is transliterated as Long Yen. Egg Yan is actually made of tapioca flour, flour and eggs. The prepared pasta has a more elastic taste and can be used to cook noodle soup🍜Or soy...

Ordered Loh Mee with Laksa (Loh Lak) together with Long Yan noodles as recommended by our local friend. Though the dish was served pretty unappetisingly, the food was good. It was super flavourful, and I loved how chewy the long yan noodles were. Do note that it is an acquired taste because of how gooey and sour the dish is, as well as the overall taste. Some might think it's smelly, while others, fragrant. Personally, I quite like it.

Also ordered gan lou mian, and it was delicious! Drinks were good and tasty, too.

It is located in quite a run-down store, right beside the wet market. There's quite a bit of stench if you come from the wet market side, but otherwise,...
